Hercules wrestled the mad beast to the ground and brought it back to King Eurystheus. Unfortunately, the king set it free, and it roamed Greece, causing terror wherever it went. Eight: Capture the Horses of Diomedes King Diomedes, leader of the Bistones, fed his bloodthirsty horses on human flesh. Hercules and his men fought and killed King Diomedes and fed the king to his horses. This made the horses tame, so that Hercules was able to lead them to King Eurystheus.
The second sun the Wind Sun took over his brother as the sun. Humans were created by Quetzalcoatl and lived on pinon nuts and things were fine. However, people became corrupt and in revenge, Tezcatlipoca turned them into monkeys, and Quetzalcoatl sent a hurricane to blow them away. Rain Sun was the third assigned to fire and Tlaloc became the next sun. Once again, Tezcatlipoca was the troublemaker and he stole Tlaloc’s wife, so he made it rain fire burning the world.

In a fight, Menelaus defeats Paris, but Hector intervenes and kills Menelaus. The Trojans decide to launch a surprise attack on Greek tents. In the fight, Hector kills Achilles’s cousin assuming that was him since he was wearing Achilles’s gears. The next day, infuriated Achilles demands single warrior fight against Hector. Achilles defeats Hector in one of the best combats ever fought and drags it back to Greek camp.
In both stories, Gilgamesh and Beowulf set out to conquer threatening gods outside their city. Beowulf defeats Grendal, a monster who was constantly killing members of Heorot. Gilgamesh kills Humbaba, an evil spirit of nature far in the cedar woods. Another similarity was the revenge from the gods. In Beowulf, Grendal’s mother seeks to destroy Beowulf for killing her son Grendal.
Hephaestus Hephaestus was the Greek god of fire and volcanoes. Hephaestus mother and father were Hera and Zeus. His grandfather was Kronos. Hephaestus was born, he was a very weak man with a broken foot. His mother Hera did not like the way he looked and threw him off her castle which was on top of the clouds.
Ishtar was furious and hurt, talked to her father Anu, the god of the sky. Anu sent the bull of heaven, and the bull brought with him seven years of food scarcity. But once again, Gilgamesh and Enkidu managed to wrestle the bull and kill him. The gods got together in a meeting and decided that either Gilgamesh or Enkidu had to die as punishment for their behavior. They decide that the one that was going to die was Enkidu, and so he did of a slow and suffering death from a disease given to him by the gods (“Gilgamesh Summary”
Serving as an antithesis to Athena’s generosity, her father Zeus’ interferences prolonged Odysseus’ journey by putting obstacles in his path and killing off his men. In book 12, (lines 385-399 and 417-439), Odysseus' crew were specifically told not to kill the sun-god’s cattle, but they, going against Odysseus’ orders, killed them anyway. Zeus avenged this, through Helios’ request, by sending them a storm, destroying the last ship and all of Odysseus' crew, leaving Odysseus to be swept away to Ogygia. It is clear that Athena serves as Odysseus’ protector and advisor and wishes to see him return home to Ithaca. She does as much as she can for Odysseus to ensure his journey is successful, but there is only so much so she can do with her uncle Poseidon, and father Zeus, working against her to make Odysseus suffer.
By wearing the cap of Hades, and looking at Medusa only at her reflection in his shield, Perseus was able to slay the snake-haired maiden. On his journey back home, Perseus used Medusa’s head to turn the Greek Titan Atlas to stone (forming the Atlas Mountains) and to kill the beasts and demanders of a maiden named Andromeda that he desired. Having killed the beast that was to kill Andromeda and the rejected suitor of Andromeda, Perseus returned home and turned Polydectes (who was still harassing Danae) into stone as well. After giving the sandals and satchel to Hermes, and Medusa’s head to Athena to protect her in battles; Perseus, Danae, and Andromeda returned to Acrisius’s

Romulus gave in greed and killed his brother and became of this he is now the sole aire to the city of Rome, this the begin of the Roman monarchical government . The first centuries of Roman history where ruled by a succession of seven kings .The Gauls destroy all of the history document when thy sacked the city after the Battle of Allia ,so no contemporary records of the kingdom exist therefore all the accounts of the kings must be questioned .This leads us to the story “The Rape of Lucretia “. The story is about a noble woman who was rape ,hence the title of the story ,Tarquinius the proud and how his son Sextus rapes her , she was so broken hearted that she killed herself .Her husband makes as vow “I swear with sword , fire and whatever will lend my arm strength , I will purse Tarquinius the proud , his wicked wife ,and his children , an no one will ever be
