When recruiting for Care Workers we advertise in our local papers for each of our areas, we currently cover 3 areas, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. We have recently just completed a recruitment mail drop, where leaflets were printed off and Royal Mail then delivered them to certain post codes, this proved very successful. Potential recruits then phoned us, we then sent out an invitation to an open day, each area had different dates and times for there open days, on the recruitment day a DVD was played which gave an insight into what the job entails. Those that were still interested after the DVD has finished then stayed on and had a chat and were given an application form and interviews were also being booked. In the past we have also had recruitment stands in local shopping areas.
On our way to the final construction of our first paper we were given some readings; one by Gee and one by Swales. I found myself pulled towards John Swales writing, The Concept of Discourse Community. How I got my information from him is what is being asked though. I got my information through several separate ways, because I had to connect these ways to my interview and artifact to make it more meaningful. One of the ideas I thought of when I started reading was that I need to track whats going on in every paragraph.

BTEC L3 ICT -Unit 1- Task 3 (P5) Word possessing documents A word processed document is a document that consisted mainly of text and was processed on a computer the advantages are that you can easily fix a spelling mistake or a typo and it is also much easier to notice you can and you don’t have to re write the hole document out again to fix the mistake it is also good as you can add pictures in easily. Furthermore you can have many copies without re writing them out over and over again. However if there is a power cut you can lose all unsaved data this means that you have to do it all over again. This can prove problems to employers as they can’t see how well the employee’s hand writing and spelling is. Presentations Like the word processing documents you will be able to spot and correct spelling and punctuation results quicker also you can animate an image while you explain a point but the disadvantage is that you have to have a large room with a large screen so people can see you giving the presentation however this problem can be partially solved with video calling.

Although the information is taken from other places, this work is an original piece. Holland compiles the information and presents it in a new way. The only bias Holland has is that he supports the Roman republic.
Essay Question 4- ‘Chavs’ in Popular Culture What is a Chav? Be warned, this essay is a load of old shite I concocted years ago in my first year of university. I'm uploading it to get access to the site. In the following essay I shall be discussing the key themes that are present in how chavs are portrayed in the media of today, why, and overall is it a fair or even logical set of beliefs. I shall do this through looking at their representation in three key media forms, the most important being newspapers, then to a lesser extent television and the internet.
This will help us to establish the terminus a quo and the terminus ad quem of the passage under study. We shall then carry out a textual criticism of the text and situate the text in its context. Having located the text within its context, we shall see how this text resonates with other passages found in the Old Testament, the New Testament and some extra biblical sources. Chapter two: In this chapter, we shall have a detailed analysis of Hosea 3:1-5; in this strain, we shall analyse the key words and discuss the meaning of the sentences of the text. This will thus lead us into seeing how the super-abundant love of God is the principal underpinning the text.
