These men began removing boxes and pieces of machinery from the warehouse. There were loaded in a U-Haul that had been parked around back with the lights off. This activity continued for several days with each morning bringing more missing machinery and even the furniture in the offices disappearing. The workers realized that the company was disbanding their factory and probably setting up a factory somewhere else with the equipment from Republic. It had become news that a new window and door factory was opening up in Red Oak, Iowa and that the owner was from a company that was just incorporated on November 18, 2008.
Nuclear waste was such a problem for Chelyabinsk because of the three nuclear disasters that took place there at the Mayak complex. The man disaster was the third that took place in 1967. The disaster occurred because people were dumping nuclear waste into Lake Karachay, not realizing the potential consequences. In 1967, a cyclone went over the lake causing the water filled with nuclear waste to spread everywhere. But with all the problems that face Chelyabinsk, the people still dump liquid radioactive waste into the lake every year.

It saddens me today that I have to gather you here with news of this magnitude. Today one of our copper mines collapsed with thirty-three men getting trapped 2,000 feet below ground. At this time we are not sure of the condition of the men, but rest a sure that we are making every attempt into located them and bringing them home to safety. Let me inform you that the mines can be very dangerous and before we start the rescue we want to ensure that they are out of harm’s way. Once we have this information we can begin with the rescue.
On paper one month before the collapse of the 35w Bridge, The Stillwater Bridge was rated worse. This inspection was done by the very same firm, URS a multi-million dollar engineering company, which was responsible for the inspection of 35W; MnDOT has said the bridge is safe otherwise it would be shut down. Galarnyk saw the same conditions the report documented unfortunately with the same urgency. It will only take one critical part to fail and the whole structure will tumble into the river. Once they had found out Otzi had actually died in spring they figured out that the ice Otzi originally lied in, had melted and refroze, maybe several times before Otzi was found. This was because the pollon found in the ice came from plants that flower in autumn, which means the last time the ice froze was in autumn not spring. In winter, rivers often freeze over. So, before a ship could travel down to the trading port, a special ship went into the river and broke the ice for it.
