Within a couple of minutes I had seen the most horrific thing in my life when the one tower came down onto itself. At that point I decided that I couldn’t work experiencing what I had just seen and returned to my vehicle and started heading home. On my way home I saw the F16 fighter jets and emergency vehicles on their way into New York City. At that point I think it became reality as to what really happened at the Twin Towers. When I arrived home there was a feeling that had come over me that this could actually be our last day on earth if these attacks kept occurring.

Since it was such a long drive, Kathy had to pull over at night so they could get some sleep. Once they arrived at her family’s, the power was out an other members of her family were their so it was very crowded. While Zeitoun was back home all of their properties flooded and Zeitoun went to jail. He hadn’t heard from his family and they didn’t know where his was for weeks. Eventually, everyone was back together again after such a long journey.

The Wreck in Florida My family and I were on vacation in Florida on Treasure Island my mom, dad, two sisters, my grandma, Aunt Doris, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Tommy, and their 3 girls my cousins, we stayed two weeks and we had a great time. The day we left me, my mom, my dad, Aunt Doris, one of my cousins, and my two sisters all piled up in the van, while everyone else piled up in Uncle Tommy’s car. About 2 hours after leaving we had a wreck, the tire had a blow out; it was so scary! The ambulance came and took me, my mom, my cousin, and my aunt to the hospital. My sisters were not injured at all.
I forget how many levels of the ship there were, but it seemed like a lot because by the time we got to the top it seemed like we had been walking through it forever. Getting to the top was pretty cool because they had a lot of old jet planes up there and we were able to sit in some of them and take pictures. At the end of the day, I remember being very worn out from all the walking around. After all the nice, fun, and relaxing days in California our weekend vacation came to end and we all had to head back to Arizona. Keep in mind, we are still driving the minivan until we reach Yuma again and can pick up the SUV that was being worked on.

When the day finally came to take our flight, all of our family members came that evening to say their goodbyes. We arrived at the airport still with our heads down, got onboard and took off for a 12 hour flight; I don´t remember much of the flights as I slept almost the entire time. The day before we left, my best-friend came and spent the night. I would never forget this day because at the time we had to wake up really early to catch a bus to another city to board a plane. That night, my best friend spent the night with me. We spent the whole night reminiscing all the good time we had. We had been friends practically all our lives.
