The water being cool for my wife and me, we were hesitant to enter on it. The children started to splash water on us. We decided afterward to join them in the water. After that everybody went to different part of the water park, the first one was called Adventure River that was a tube down 1,000 foot, encountering waterfalls, where water bursts and geysers along the way. The next one was called big Kahuna in which we hop on the four slide inner table complex and get propelled down a criss-crossed course into a pool
This stanza represents the imagery of obese children swimming and behaving like otters and enjoying themselves in the pool. The image that crosses my mind as I read the following stanza “The plump good-natured children play in the blue pool: roll and plop, plop and roll;” (stanza one), are obese children swimming in a nice pool. The other images that comes up in my mind while reviewing this stanza “slide and tumble, oiled, in the slippery sun silent as otters, turning over and in,” (stanza two). This image makes me think of a slip and slide. Since otters have nothing to do while playing in a pool, the writer uses this image so the readers can imagine the children playing in the pool and swim like an otters do in the water.

Observation ( paper-1) “Columbia YMCA swimming pool observation” Since I spend a fair amount of time volunteering and working-out at the local Columbia YMCA, I decided to carefully observe what cultural relativity takes place around me. When I arrive, my observation’s will be taking place by the pool area (where I normally do warm-up’s). The pool is a junior Olympic size pool, one of two offered in the Columbia area. In this observation I am looking to find who uses the pool and what their primary uses for it are. This will help me understand what cultural activities the pool area has to offer.

Brighton through the Butler model EXPLORATION Dr Russell recommended especially that people try the water near Brighton, proclaiming that sea water was superior to those cures provided by inland spas. His ideas were widely acclaimed in England and abroad, and despite dispute regarding the best ways to use sea water, "few disputed its value". INVOLVEMENT The bathing machine was a device, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, to allow people to change out of their usual clothes, possibly change into swimwear and then wade in the ocean at beaches. Bathing machines were roofed and walled wooden carts rolled into the sea. Some had solid wooden walls; others had canvas walls over a wooden frame.

As a result, new situations always make me a bit nervous, and my first swimming lesson was no exception. Then I went to the bath room to change into my swim suit. Then I went out stood timidly by the side of the pool waiting for the teacher and other students to show up .As I waited I begun to look around at the water and started getting nervous. The smell of nice summer day air was so pleasant. Then my teacher came over.
Life sciences research task Introduction - I have always been interested in the human body and how the body works. I love sport and often wonder whether energy drinks help with performance levels or if it’s in the mind of the athlete. I have always been curious if famous athletes such as Chad Le Clos use energy drinks and if they improve their performance or not. Therefore my research task is on the effects energy drinks have on your heart rate when at rest as well as straight after the activity (25m lap freestyle). I also then timed the laps each student swam, to see whether the energy drink improved their performance or not.
Our group chose to volunteer at the Pier Aquarium for our service learning project. Our main task was to design the Aquarium’s brochures, so that they become more competitive with the brochures, which other tourist places offer. In addition, we helped with setting up for the Fish Head Ball, which was a charity event held by the Aquarium to raise funds. I had an amazing experience, while doing the project, because I discovered that it can be very rewarding to volunteer, especially if you like the people you are working with. The Service Learning Project was the first volunteer work that I have done in my life, so initially I was not really sure of what to expect from the experience.
