Germany established a submarine war zone around the British Isles and said they would sink any enemy war ships that entered that proximity. Innocent American trading and merchant ships were being shot down and sunk by ruthless German warfare at sea. Germany refused to let the neutral America trade goods with their enemy countries. This dramatically impacted America because much of the American economy was controlled by trade with Britain and France, and moving forward America knew it would be impossible to keep an expanding economy without GB and France. America, despite its efforts, could not remain neutral and was forced to enter World War 1.
In the Confederate States, the hope was that the incident would lead to a permanent rupture in Anglo-American relations and even diplomatic recognition by Britain of the Confederacy. Confederates realized their independence potentially depended on a war between Britain and the U.S. In Britain, the public expressed outrage at this violation of neutral rights and insult to their national honor. The British government demanded an apology and the release of the prisoners while it took steps to strengthen its military forces in Canada and the Atlantic. After several weeks of tension and loose talk of war, the crisis was resolved when the Lincoln administration released the envoys and disavowed Captain Wilkes's actions.
Within months another British liner, the Arabic, was sunk by a U-boat torpedo. Wilson again demanded the Germans to scale down the submarine attacks, and again the German government gave only a half-hearted acknowledgment. Then, in early 1916, Germany announced that it would begin attacking all merchant ships without warning in the waters around Europe, including neutral merchants. Wilson notified Berlin that this policy was illegal according to the international rules of war and were therefore unacceptable. Germany responded only with the destruction of the steamer Sussex in March.

The major reasons for the war of 1812 were; -Great Britain had violated American sovereignty by refusing to surrender western ports as promised in the Treaty of Paris -The British and France were interfering with American trade and were taking American ships -The United States believed that Britain still not treating it as an independent country, and was actually providing Native Americans with guns to attack American settlers. -Great Britain controlled much of Canada and many Americans simply wanted to expel the British from North American and expand American border. The Embargo Act of 1807 is perhaps the most contradictory decision Jefferson has made in his presidency. The War of 1812 In June 1812, during President James Madison’s administration the congress of the United States declared war on Britain. The main reasons that led to the declaration of the war were led by a powerful motivation to uphold national honor in face of what the American considered British insults. The British attempted to restrict the highly profit American trade with Napoleonic France that was locked in a long and bitter conflict with them. The British Royal navy seized American ships, cargoes, and American sailors under the act of impressment. The British removed the sailors from their American ships and forced them to serve on British vessels.
But there are other courses of the break out of the armed conflict not just polices of the British Government that are the colonies as not all of the polices where unreasonable. The reaction of the Americans to the British was also could be a reason for the outbreak. Also some events affected the break out too. In 1763 Britain started introducing some rigorous policy’s, that where made change in the colonies and this was change that the colonies didn’t really want... This was because for year they where use to being on their own and Britain taking no interest in what they do.
Zimmerman promised to help Mexico regain lost territory that the United States took away (all of Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico). Unfortunately for Zimmerman, the British intercepted the message and decoded it. Then the British eagerly delivered it to President Wilson. To persuade Congress to give him the power to wage an undeclared naval war and protect American merchant ships against German submarines, Wilson published the Zimmerman note.
