Besides the obvious conflict between Gatsby, Daisy, and Tom, what other conflicts do you see in the novel? * Nick and Jordan (about relationship) * Mr. and Mrs. Wilson (moving west) * Tom and Mr. Wilson (about car and Mrs. Wilson) 2. Compare the homes of Gatsby, Nick, the Buchanans, and the Wilsons. How does each relate to the personality of its owners? Nick house is not t very big, but not very small. He doesn’t have people to share it with. Gatsby’s house is very big, but he lives alone in it and has lots of parties with people he doesn’t even know. The House of Tom and Daisy corresponds to the high class. Tom has another apartment, but he has to hide it. Wilson’s house is combined with his business. It is dirty and small. 3. Discuss Fitzgerald's use of symbols, such as the eyes of Dr. T. J. Eckleburg, the green light on Daisy's dock, and the valley of ashes. The Eyes of Dr. T. J. Ecklenburg are a symbol for the eyes of god. As long as the green light is on, Gatsby knows that Daisy is there. It is his hope that someday he can reach it.
