School administrators all across the country have been noticing that students have been missing too many school days. Because of this occurrence, they needed a solution to their truancy problem. One of the solutions they thought of was to take away the truant student’s driver's license. However, some people believe that school should not have anything to do with licenses. Some people believe the students should have their own choices.

The legislative branch of the government has a task enumerated by the Constitution- agree on spending so that the government may be funded. When this does not happen, most of the rudimentary processes of the government fail to function. The Republican members of the House of Representatives desired to fund the government with the obvious exemption of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare. With an estimated 48 million uninsured people and approximately $2.5 trillion spent on health care yearly, reform was overdue. The concept of health care reform was not new. New legislation had been attempted without success. “During the 2008 US presidential election, then-candidate Barack Obama (US Senator, D-IL) campaigned for the need to reform the American health care system, stating that the cost of health care was a threat to our economy and that health care should be a right for every American”("History of the," 2011).
We’re a world super power. The place where dreams come true. Now look at us… our economy has been in a 14 month recession, and it shows no signs of rebounding anytime soon. The mortgage meltdown has affected every aspect of business from Wall Street to Main Street, from the Mom-and-Pop stores to the large corporate giants, from the automotive sector to the retail sector. Sure, we have all heard the old saying, “what goes up, must come down.” Although, no one would have guessed that home values would plunge as fast, nor as far, as they have.
Some teens have personal reasons that are sometimes urgent, and staying in school isn't an option. Although there are many understanding reasons not to raise the age, many economists have found that over the last 20 years, higher drop out ages do matter. It didn't only improve graduation rates, but entrance to colleges and career outcomes. If the students have to stay in school longer, they have more options such
In the first article, the author feels that bilingual education has benefited the minority students that speak a different language. The author feels that there has been opposition to it coming from the political front. Apparently some American citizens find it offensive that children are taught part of their school lessons in their own language during the day. Members of the political party find bilingual education to be crippling to the children. Teaching students bilingually has been around for thirty years and seems to have no positive outcome or reasoning.
