There are many effects on bullying and some samples are thinking about suicide, scared of coming to school, and beginning to not care about school. There has been a great increase in deaths because of students getting bullied. The bullies scare the students so much that they do not want to come to school
Anyone that is caught while intoxicated should never have the right to drive again. Driving is a privilege, and people do take advantage of it, while endangering other lives. I hope that people learn that drunk driving is a terrible thing. You can end up hurting yourself, and other innocent people. People should think of their consequences before they go behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol.
The 18th amendment contributed to the rise of organized crime because it created a lot of underground business. From killings to people living in poverty, that’s what the prohibition caused. If people really thought that prohibiting alcohol to be sold leally were going to help the way that people lived during this time, they were wrong. A lot of people were against the law, they argued that if they banned alcohol legal businesses were going to go broke and that was not going to help the economy get better. Without family they have no motive to stay out, they have nowhere to go. Many states such as California are giving the prisoners freedom, to those who are least likely to be habitual offenders. California and other states are trying to save money but it won't work in this economy. Most prisoners will not find a job because of their criminal record and it is especially hard during the recession. Also, someone who is young and goes to prison is likely to come back feeling that their life is gone.
The thought police is the most insidious aspect of the dystopian society of 1984 because the people are so scared of being watched and accused of thoughtcrime that they lose trust in anyone and everyone around them. The thought police is used by the party to control the society and their thoughts. Anyone simply walking in the street could be a member of the thought police, so you never know who is watching you. This diminishes the bonds between friends, neighbors, family, etc. because you never know whom you can trust, and even someone you have the most faith in could be the person to turn you in.
It has been said that when hearing about depressing or sad things it makes others sad or depressed as well. So in a way a depressed person who reads this book can in fact become even more depressed. All in all this book adds to teen depression, adds to teenage pregnancy and adds to the usage of vulgar language amongst teens. Teens do drugs because they want to be cool or they think it is cool to do drugs because all of their friends do it. I think it is bad for you and I would never do drugs because you never know what may happen to you in the future, and I plan on living for a while.
