People always ask me who my role model is, and until recently, I didn't have one. Many people could fill the spot: Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa parks, Harriet Tubman, etc. All of them have done amazing things that have carried their names through history. I admire them for their strength and courage, but personally, they don't inspire me. My role model is someone close to my age who unlike most celebrities, wasn't afraid to admit that she is human and needed help. Not only did she seek out help, she openly shared her experiences and has encouraged many other girls facing the same problems she had to seek help themselves. With her hit single "Skyscraper" she details that yes, life pushed her down but she's rising again like a skyscraper. This is the life of my biggest inspiration, Demi Lovato, and how she has made an impact on my life. Demi Lovato was born August 20, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She started acting when she was seven years old on "Barney" as Angela, appearing in seasons seven and eight, along with her childhood friend Selena Gomez. She has three albums, Don't Forget (released in 2008), Here We Go Again (released in 2009), and Unbroken (released in 2011). Demi starred in Camp Rock with the Jonas brothers, and also ended up getting her own TV series called "Sonny With a Chance." In 2012 Demi got hired as a judge on the 2nd season of the X-Factor. Now we get to the serious stuff. On October 30, 2010, Demi dropped out of the Jonas Brothers tour in order to enter a treatment facility to treat "physical and emotional issues." The final straw for Demi was after she punched the Jonas Brothers backup dancer after she told Demi's managers about her innapropriate behavior the previous night, and then was confronted by her managers and step dad.
