A leader must be obedient in order to grow and know God’s will. He shows evidence of his relationship, faith and love for God by doing God’s will. When a leader loves God, his actions show where his heart is. He then, understands God’s love for his people and the significance of God giving his only begotten son to suffer and die on the cross and he want to obey God– because of his love. God wants the leader to be obedient because he knows what is best for him.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (The Holy Bible John 13:34) Jesus teaches this commandment to his disciples. Jim Casy tries to live this way by preaching and showing others that God cares. In The Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck shows Casy as a prime example of Christ-likeness during the Great Depression. Through his commitment to save mankind and by living a life that reflected Jesus Christ; he shows others how to live like him.
9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Mt. 5:3-10) C. Overview: In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls us to live out the 8 beatitudes (5:3-12) as we pursue 100-fold obedience (5:48), as we resist 6 temptations (5:21-48), and pursue 5 kingdom activities (6:1-18) that position our hearts to freely receive more grace. We do all this with confidence in His rewards (eternal/temporal 6:19-24) and His provision (6:24-33).
In his Autobiography, Benjamin Franklin recognized the merit of the virtuous life that Puritan colonist hold so dear. He began to see that a path of virtue not only led to moral perfection but also to worldly success. And while his path differed considerably from the Puritans, in many ways, they were similar enough to arrive at the same destination. After attending a sermon that defined the meaning of a virtuous life, Benjamin Franklin sought to achieve moral perfection. Like the Puritans, he planned to combat natural inclinations by building a life of strong moral preservation.
Counselors advocate change at all levels to improve the quality of life for individuals or groups, while eliminating obstacles that make it difficult to receive proper services. the bible teaches us to forgive others as we would want God to forgive us. But we are also taught in one of the greatest commandments to love our neighbor as we would love ourselves. And what better way to show our love, by supporting them in harsh times and providind a body to lean on. Additionally, Christians should also acknowledge global poverty by action and activity- getting to our feet, going out and doing something to change the world. Certainly it is our duty to pray for the poor but there is so much more that we can do to help.
The movie shows the team praying before games which was part of the fabric of the life of the team. Coach Bob also instilled to them that “Faith is an integral part of me. I can’t turn it on and off.” It helped gained the moral of the team on not giving up and just giving it all up to Him. With the ups and the downs that were shown in the movie, there is no way that we can’t learn something from this. Great concepts about
It is said to be the will to seek another person’s greatest good no matter what that person has done towards you in the past. It is said to be an attitude of good will to all. An example of this love is God’s Love for us all. Jesus showed his love that he had for us when he died for us. It is good for us to have Agape love too –“Love your enemy”.
The only person we need to be like, as a servant leader is Jesus. He shows us how to lead by example in ( John 13:2-17). We need to listen, sit quietly with the Lord, to hear His plan, so we well be able to help others grow, in the Lord. We need empathy, people need to be accepted and recognized for their ideas and feelings. We need Awareness, of what you can change, for our- selfs and others to be a better servant leader.
A strength of having faith in a religion is that it provides guidance and a sense of direction into becoming a respectable member of society. Personally, as a follower of Hinduism I strongly feel that it has granted me guidance and the purpose of existence. Each religion encourages good deeds, usually made evident in their Holy Books. To name a few, for the Christians, Romans 12:21 in the Bible say “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” and John 3:20 says “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed” . For Hindus, the Bhagavad Gita states “No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end, either here or in the world to come”.
