“The Parallel Similarities of Greek Mythology and Christianity There are many comparisons and parallel similarities that can be said about Greek Mythology and Religion. Most people that are Christians or follow the principles of the Bible believe the stories told in the Bible itself. The same can be said about the stories of Greek and Roman mythology as well. The idea that many different gods and goddesses controlled the universe can be looked at as stories that are no more than fiction or fantasy. The same could be said about Christianity for non-believers.
The focus in pagan religion existed primarily in the present life and not on death. Most of the religions when Christ was born were polytheistic; the religion of Jesus’ parents was Judaism. Jews are monotheistic with their beliefs, much like Christians which implemented the worship of one solitary god. In early Christian times we see many holy people such as the ascetics including Anthony and “men, whose lives figure in “The Lives of Desert Fathers”(Final examination sheet), fitting into the context of early Christian religion. These Christians had a complex variety of religious beliefs and customs which great shifts today in perspective and religious attitudes of these holy people have arisen since the time of late antiquity.
Both Christianity and Islam have a communitarian dimension: what the church is to Christianity the "umma" is to Islam. Despite these significant similarities, however, these two world religions have a number of significant differences as well. I will discuss 3 topics and go into detail about their moral teachings, roles and responsibilities (duties) and social justice issues, I will also be discussing their similarities and differences. The prophet Muhammad said: "I have been sent to perfect the morals". The Quran is the criterion (furqan).
Chukwu means “the greater high god.” They believed that Chukwu created other minor gods which they prayed to. There are three main minor Gods they worshipped which are Anyanwu, Igwe, and Ala. These three gods are the main gods people made sacrifices to. Anyanwu is the god of sun, Ala is the Earth goddess and Igwe is their sky god.

It was religion that drove the New England colony and Middle Atlantic colony down two starkly opposite paths, but one was a religion of uniformity and government by God, and the other, a religion promising exactly the opposite. The doxology, or lack thereof, practiced in these two neighboring settlements was the basis for their entire beginnings, and the foundation for every facet of life within, the New England colonies standing united by a common faith, and the Middle Atlantic colonies in which freedom was the only common religion. These two settlements were hugely contrary but both began, and were fueled by the religion that they employed. The hand of European religious persecution ignited the spark of immigration to the new world of America. The New England colonies, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland were conceived and established as "holy experiments" by the puritans.
● What is Islam: Although Islam share some theories with the Christian, it is a very different religion. Islam was founded in 610 A.D. by a man named Mohammed.
