Special agent Paul Smecker is assigned to the case. He knows that the death of the two mobsters is not a professional hit. As the police start looking for the people who are responsible, the brothers show in the police station to clear their names. The media and the public pronounce them as heroes. They spend the night in the police cell when they got the message from god telling them to kill every bad man.

Boondock Saints The principal theme of the film Boondock Saints is society’s indifference to the judicial tolerance of crime in this country. After being cleared of any wrong doing in the self-defense killings of two Russian mob soldiers, Connor and Murphy McManus are divinely called to exact God’s justice on evil among the hearts of the children of men. There were not any important sub-themes in this movie. The moral of the story asks a question whether or not killing in the name of justice is righteous. The McManus brothers, Connor and Murphy, are twins that have emigrated from Ireland and are working as meat packers in South Boston.
Elia Kazan’s ‘On the Waterfront’, is a story of Terry Malloy’s ultimate journey of fulfilling his dreams on becoming a contender and becoming a man from a ‘bum’. Two of the most influential people, Father Barry and Edie Doyle constantly remind Terry to listen to his conscience. ‘On the Waterfront’ takes the audience on a journey through terry’s life, which gives them an insight into his life and dilemmas which he faces along the way. Terry’s redemption took time and was aided by the support of others. When Johnny Friendly’s gang murders his brother Charlie, Terry realizes the union corruption makes the decision to go against the union and make them pay, now that he’s felt the pain personally.
He not only lies by changing his grades for the prep school applications, but he continuously changes his C's to A's on his report . He also lies to priests in confession and to friends about his hunting conquests and steals things while roaming the streets of Seattle with his friends. Jack being depicted as thief reflects his concern for physical safety as he continues breaking the law. He believes that if he acts rebellious he is invincible and no one can harm him. One would think that Jack is a disturbed child with no redeeming qualities.
Shortly after, Vincent and Jules go to a café which while they are there gets robbed by two petty crooks while previously employing the passage as a means for delivering death, after the advent of his conversion Jules reinterprets the passage and discovers the truth about his past existence. For the first time, Jules realizes the value of human life, and his own ability to keep it. "The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men," he tells the thieves. "But I'm tryin'.
He is almost kidnapped and taken hostage by two white men; however, the two men thought that he spoke English too well and that he would not do (159). They first accused Equiano of being “the very fellow we are looking for, that you lost” (159). He encountered this even as a free man and was disgusted. Before this incident, he was almost “flogged” by patrole in Savannah. The patrole takes him into custody because he and his friend have the light turned on after nine o’clock.
Hale states “Excellency, I have signed seventy-two death warrants; I am a minister of the lord, and I dare not take a life without there be proof so immaculate no slightest qualm of conscience may doubt it” (Miller 966). This shows that Hale understands what he has been doing wrong and wants to stand up for the truth. Grant sees the same thing when he becomes close with Jefferson. Grant hates his society for what there doing to Jefferson. He tries his hardest to fight for his salvation and prove to the white men that they are no hog.
Everything is Not What it Seems Part 1 (Theme): Deception Deception seems to occur on every page of the Summoning of Everyman, printed by John Skot. The play begins with God informing us that Everyman has deceived him by living his life loving riches instead of worshipping and acknowledging the Lord. God sends Death to summon Everyman to his reckoning, and Death informs him that he can bring along whoever or whatever he sees beneficial to him. After Everyman learns this, he begs several people in his life to join him on his journey. They all agree until they find out that Everyman will not be returning.
The Teel brothers were suspected to have ties to the local Ku Klux Klan (KKK) chapter in Oxford. Later, this Klan group succeeded in intimidating townspeople and hindering investigations. Due to the brother’s connection with the KKK, none of the witnesses would dare come forward and incriminate the Teel brothers. So not only was the murder itself grievous, but the group went on to further lower themselves by bullying and threatening other innocent people. Instead of admitting to their heinous actions, the three men sought help from their willing ‘brothers’ to bully and persuade black and white people alike into submission and essentially cover-up the whole incident.
