The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of evidence based research on nursing practice, define EBP, explain the importance of EBP research to improve nursing practice, and barriers to overcome in research utilization. Also an example of both a qualitative and quantitative research study that could improve the practice area of hospice will be provided.
