The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.

Among twelfth graders, 6.5 percent use marijuana on a daily basis (Drug Abuse). According to the article, the drug proliferated amongst teens due to its popularity and other students would be pressured into using marijuana. For the students that attempted to refuse to take the drug they would face feeling rejected from their peers or they would feel as if they would not be considered “cool”.

First, prescription drugs can be of great value when used correctly and prescribed by a person qualified such as a Doctor. When drugs are used improperly or ingested for pleasure reasons one finds themself in a place they really don’t want to be. Drugs cause a great deal of pain to the person taking them, their family and their community. It is not uncommon for a drug user to do all sorts of things that are out of the ordinary for them; from theft all the way to murder.

Even though the overall drug use among teens has decreased nationwide over the years, the new issue that is on the rise is teenage use of prescription
