Stephen is taken back in awe by this beautiful garden in front of him and it is thanks to Matsu that Stephen can broaden his artistic self. Matsu also tries to expose Stephen to other types of people, like Sachi, and make him a more tolerant person. This is a very valuable lesson to be learned and for Matsu to help Stephen learn this lesson, it shows much about his character and approach towards people. Matsu is a very gracious person whose actions show him in a very respectable light. His positive morals define him as one who certainly resembles a samurai.

The fact that not all thanes could be as courageous and have so many heroic achievements for their countries and rulers is why Beowulf seems so ideal and extraordinary. Beowulf's many achievements told throughout the story gives him the appearance of the most faithful of thanes, who has climbed the social ladder not because he has meant to do so, but because he wishes to protect his country and others and give all the credit to its rulers. This sort of behavior gives him a kind and generous nature that can be traced to a kind of chivalry. Chivalry can also be considered a very important role in the creation of a thane's reputation and popularity. Through Beowulf's chivalry, generosity, friendship, and popularity, all of his kingdom and of others knew him for his heroism and loyalty.

I ask Aaron what he thought of the lake and he responds, “I'm surprised to see this many types of mushroom fruiting in early October. I guess last weeks rains brought the season with them early.” This last place was my favorite because I saw so much beauty here. Being on this trip changed my perspective about observing and that I need to observe more. The more I observed on this trip the more I saw how beautiful things were and that the trip helped me improve my seeing. This act of observation helped enhance the whole adventure.
The speaker states that his spirits were instantly uplifted when he saw the daffodils "tossing their heads in sprightly dance", and still to this day whenever the speaker feels " vacant or in pensive mood" he remembers the daffodils and he instantly is happy again. Throughout the poem we see Wordsworth use simple language devices such as similes and personification to convey his ideas about the link between man and nature. In the first line of the poem he states "I wander'd lonely as a cloud / that floats over vales and hills". Here Wordsworth compares himself to a natural object. Wordsworth also constantly personifies the daffodils throughout the poem "I saw a crowd, a host" "dancing" "tossing their heads".
