Older men and women may find that their position in society has changed from that they knew when they were younger. Older people may have the difficulty in the change from work to retirement. Late Adulthood brings a time of memories and moments that one will try and cherish the most with their families and friends.
They may endure sleepless nights and loose sleep making them tired and unable to concentrate when at school. They may become disruptive in the classroom as they feel the need for attention. Should the child unfortunately be a victim of abuse, then this transtition in their life will affect them deeply, often leaving long term effects. An abused child will feel scared, alone and depressed. Their trust in adults will diminish rapidly, making them feel like they have no one to turn to.
Especially, when many have gone most of their lives undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. This disorder is a disruption of daily life for adults trying to function as parents and meaningful members of society. Other will judge on other people on the way they look, the way they dress, which will lead us to think we don’t look good and it might even lead us to neglect ourselves. 2. Age- When we are young; we will not care about whom we are friends with or how to be part of the group. But as you get older, it will start affecting our self concept, self esteem and self image because we will start caring about being part of the group.

They are able to be “separated from everything familiar,” and be “pushed into a new state of consciousness” (Armstrong 25). The issue however that arises from dissociation is that these people are unable to grasp reality. They are unsure of what is right and what is wrong sometimes and do not understand why this happens.
