Worldview Cheyenne Pearl Hood Liberty University Online WORLD VIEW According to THE POPULAR ENCYCLOPEDIA OF APOLPGETICS (2008) , a worldview is the frame work of beliefs by which a person views the world around them. In common parlance, it is the grad of filter through which a person interprets everything (Caner & Hindson, 2008, pg.498). The question of origin is defined throughout the entire bible as God. Every Christian should be able to refer to Genesis 1:1, this verse simply states the fact that God Himself, created the earth(Genesis 1:1, NIV). Genesis may be the most known book in the bible to refer to when talking about the origin of life, but there are also several other scripture readings. In Psalm 89:11, credit is given to God for creating the heavens and earth saying, “you founded the world and all that is in it”(Psalm 89:11, NIV). The question of identity is wanting to know what set humans apart from animals. This is another question that should come fairly easy to Christians. In Genesis 1:27, God is in the process of creating man. God did this and was very specific to create this man in His own image(Genesis 1:27, NIV). One other thing that set apart this man God had created is stated in Genesis 2:7. In this verse it is explained that God breathed the life into man to make him living(Genesis 2:7, NIV). Now in previous verses God is creating everything in the earth, but the thing that sets the creation of man apart from this, is being made in His image and having His breath breathed into man. The purpose of life has so many different meanings, and they can be found on just about every page of the bible. According to John 17:3 the whole purpose for life on earth is, “that they may know You, the only true God”(John 17:3, NIV).
