There are some high schools in Ontario where uniforms are to be worn every day to school but many do not require them at all. Uniforms are great for many different reasons. Therefore, they should be mandatory in all high schools throughout Ontario. Uniforms will help students feel more equal to one another, the dress-codes would not be a huge problem as they currently are in many schools and families would spend less money throughout the school year on their children. First of all, students would greatly feel equal to one another if they all wore uniforms to school. Students get bullied all the time in school due to their choice of clothing style which would be eliminated completely through the use of uniforms. Also, no one would be judged on their clothing. Students cannot always afford the most expensive of clothes like most other students, which results in them being judged by others. There would not be any distinction between rich and poor when wearing uniforms to school. When wearing uniforms, students would not feel left out or different from their classmates since everyone would be wearing the same thing. This is why wearing uniforms every day to school will make everyone feel equal to one another. Uniforms can also prevent the dress-code from becoming a major problem in high schools. When wearing uniforms, schools would not have to worry about students wearing clothing that could be offensive to others because of their race, religion, gender etc. Also, the dress-code would not be as strict. Teachers would not have to deal with clothing that exposes excess amounts of skin. Because of this, schools would have more time to deal with more important issues. They will be able to focus on other things such as student’s education instead of the dress-code if all students wore uniforms to school. Lastly, families would not have to spend a lot of money each
