B3 Bill Clinton Bill Clinton Bill Clinton was elected to be our fourty-second President of the United States in 1993. At that time, he was 42 years old. His wife is Hillary Rodham Clinton. They were married in 1975 and have one Daughter (Chelsea) who was born in 1980. He was elected as the Attorney General of Arkansas in 1976 and served until 1978.
Considered by many, one of these extraordinary speakers is our one and only President Clinton. William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton was born in Hope, Arkansas August 19, 1946. Clinton is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States. Serving two terms in the White house from 1993 to 200, he was inaugurated at age 46 and was the third-youngest president in U.S history. Clinton took office at the end of the Cold War which made him the first president of the baby boomer generation.
Overall I disagree with this view because, even though some parts of domestic policy were successful for Henry VIII and Wolsey, most aspects of domestic policy failed. For example Wolsey used the Courts to get revenge on old enemies as well as giving justice to all people despite their status or wealth. Source 7 suggests that Wolsey was a useless chief minister and only survived because he knew how to please Henry. Source 8 agrees with source 7 but also says that he was successful in 'centralising English politics'. Source 9 was written by George Cavendish and gives a positive view of Wolsey's contribution to domestic policy.
Indecisive people can pass on their responsibilities and “pass the buck,” and advisory people can propose their concepts and lobby for acceptance, but the President can ultimately turn to nobody else. Presidents must make the hard decisions. It is a heavy mantle to bear on those presidential shoulders. It is lonely at the top. President Johnson’s “wise men” possessed depth in their areas of expertise beyond that of the President, who was a master mover of legislation to accomplish domestic social programs but very much out of his league in military matters and international relations.
Ms. Clinton had a long record of political achievement in Arkansas and beyond, but was unsuccessful in achieving health care reform. President Clinton can also be credited with reappointing Alan Greenspan as head of the Federal Reserve. Greenspan was considered a master at handling interest rates. The appointment of Alan Greenspan was a surprising move on President Clinton’s part because Mr. Greenspan was considered a libertarian Republican who once had been a close political advisor to Republican Presidents Gerald Ford and Ronald Regan. President Clinton and Alan Greenspan worked closely together and Greenspan praised Clinton’s handling of the Federal deficit as well as his stance on liberalized trade calling him “the best Republican president we’ve had in a while.” All of these things played a role in the economic upswing of President Clinton’s time in office but there were many factors that had little or nothing to do with government at
Being a good leader is to instill the confidence and skill worth of the ones that aspire to accept the challenge of change. Churchill’s success has been measured through the difficult challenge that faced his country during the battle of World War 2. Churchill was also a measurable success because of his passion in problem resolution and the ability to take the risks needed to help better shape and support his country. Through history and as well as present politicians being successful does not always end with being a good leader or having great management skills, however the ability to continue to bring encouragement and growing faith in those you are leading is a measured success that only the future will be able to measure. Leadership is often not recognized until years later when we have had the opportunity to review the actions and plans of the individual.
Macbeth 1. Macbeth died on August 15, 1057, 17 years to the day since becoming King after being fatally wounded at the battle at Lumphanan. 2. In 1050, Macbeth became the first Scottish king known to make a pilgrimage to Rome. 3.
Throughout American history, we have seen a great deal of Presidents. We have seen some that were good, and others not as good. A President must do a lot for his or her country. They must be dependable, intelligent, unbiased, diplomatic, and kind. The President must carry America, and represent America’s integrity.
They are usually met with opposition and animosity, but those who possess true political courage stick to what they believe is right, regardless of popular belief. Jimmy Carter is a politician that fits this description. His domestic and foreign policies demonstrate bold and courageous politics. He has strong moral beliefs and went out of his way to find a peaceful resolution to any situation. He also showed courage by using his diplomatic skills to neutralize many foreign affairs and showing the United States of America in a positive light around the world.
. the role of government is to allow people the freedom to grow into responsible citizens and to exercise their inalienable rights” (2010, para 39). Elected officials work with others to find the best solutions and policies to benefit the whole in spite of their immediate needs or beliefs. We have also seen how the public’s perception of elected officials can be harmed by breaches in morality but, in the end, are forgiven in exchange for successes in other areas of performance. President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial did not deter his approval ratings as he maintained an approval rate higher than 60 percent.
