For social, I would be working with people and helping and curing their injuries, for investigative, I would be finding what exactly the problem and the cause of it is, and what the solution would be, and for realistic, it is a very hands-on job that would require me to use machines to help heal my patients. The reason that I would not want to be just a physical therapist is because I believe that my mental abilities exceed the requirements of being a physical therapist, and I would like to go to medical
| Why Nursing? Writing Assignment Justin Bluff Spartanburg Community College People who work in healthcare are a different breed from the average person. For the most part their patience is endless, their determination to manage some of the worst situations we could imagine is incredible, and that internal drive to care for their fellow man knows no bounds. I truly believe nurses aren’t made there born with the instinct to help others and satisfy their drive to be the best that they can in helping lives. The doctor does not know what to expect coming through that emergency door but they have to be prepared. They have to know a little bit of everything in the medical field because they will be dealing with many different types of situations. I chose to pursue this career, because being an emergency room physician appeals to me because it’s so suspenseful and exhilarating. Broadcasting Vs. Nursing Broadcasting has always been a huge interest of mine even though nursing has been stuck in the back of my mind since a young age. Everyone always wants to be some sort of doctor at some point of their lives whether it is because of the money outcome or if it is just wanting to be in a doctor suit, at least that is what I always thought. But after researching both careers, I learned that a job in the medical field such as nursing really is not the career for me. My personality is beyond out going and creative, which doesn’t really fit into the characteristics of a nurse or any type of doctor.
Personal development is a goal that never ends. My primary long term goal is to become a Medical doctor. I am very excited about it and all energies have diverted that direction. I feel that it is a very noble profession. I don't believe there is anything more important, more valuable nor more prioritized than the preservation of life.
I would love to have the opportunity to graduate from nursing, because I have a strong desire to help people and make a difference in the quality of their lives every day. What is also noteworthy about nursing is that there is no another job as rewarding as being a nurse. Each day I will have an impact on patients´ lives, and have the opportunity to save someone´s life. I think there is no reward greater than that. Searching in different schools, I found that this program has a bunch of resources not only solid basics of nursing theory , but also nursing practice as well as clinical experience that will give me the opportunity of been successful in different practice situations.
Having childhood dreams is important in life. As we grow older our dreams may change. We may develop new interests and goals, so sticking to something just because it's what you used to want to do is no good either. The goal is to follow your dreams, but the one you want in the present, not in the past. For instance, I used to want to be nurse but now I am in school to be a radiologist, which I am very passionate about.
I hope my educational and career goals also satisfy my personal goals of becoming a successful individual with strong morals and goals, hoping to work with people and work in the field that helped me. As a student, I am strong-willed and hard-working. I am proud of the grades I have earned and the things I have accomplished thus far, especially in a difficult major such as kinesiology. Yet, I struggle to think of how I will ever pay off the debt I will accrue in undergraduate and graduate school. Thanks greatly to the financial support of my parents, I have the opportunity to further my education and achieve my educational goals.
