Short term and long term goals I think it is important to establish both short-term and long-term goals. Without established goals a person could end up chasing the wind and wasting valuable time. I have some short term goals that I am working toward daily. At present I have a 3.85 grade point average. My short term goal is to maintain it and then increase it to a 4.0. I am a very focused person. Drive and tenacity are integral parts of my disposition and character which helps me feel optimistic about this goal and many others becoming a reality. I have recently been accepted in to my number one college of my choice: University of Alabama @ Tuscaloosa. I am very excited. This leads to another short term goal of trying to secure the funds (hopefully, the Bill Gates Scholarship) that will allow me to receive a Bachelor of Science degree there. I consider myself a perpetual student. I am always learning and always striving to improve. That leads to my next short term goal of personal development. My parents have assisted me with establishing some personal goals that I work towards everyday. Some of those include time management, organization skills, prioritizing, managing peers and personal finances. At home we have systems in place from acronyms that form a checklist of things I need to remember to a survival kit that houses everything I need to survive a stressful day. Personal development is a goal that never ends. My primary long term goal is to become a Medical doctor. I am very excited about it and all energies have diverted that direction. I feel that it is a very noble profession. I don't believe there is anything more important, more valuable nor more prioritized than the preservation of life.
