Some of his hobbies are playing with toads and stamp collecting, but by far the weirdest hobby was collecting dead ravens. This sounds ridiculous but it actually get a little worse; he would fix them up as art work an put them on display. Even when he was mad fun of or ignored for what he does he didn’t change it because he likes doing it and it would be changing who he is. exact Ronnie knows the point in his life where decided who he is more important then how people he saw him. He was 14 and just moved to a new neighborhood and a new school.
But they were too afraid because he was different. You see harry had a certain aspect about him. He loved the outdoors and could not go out. His family were high class and though of him so when he went to Hogwarts and tamed the wild side of him he felt alive. Harry potter was never the brightest in school but he had a certain gift for potions since the halfblood prince helped him.
If Lennie hadn’t been so bloody stupid we’d till be livin’ in Weed off the fat of the land, But Lennie had to do somethin’ wrong as usual didn’t he? Stupid bastard, I sure hope Lennie don’t go grabbin’ no other girls just to feel a damn dress. He better not get any damn idea about Curley’s wife. Curley’s already onto Lennie. I do love Lennie but its hard movin’ from ranch to ranch with him there all the time; 24/7.
1 How does Mole exhibit his initial immaturity before Rat helps him become a more mature animal? Though never as egregiously immature as someone like Toad, Mole nevertheless begins the novel as a very 'young' animal. We see this right way, when he barges through the rabbits in the first chapter. He is not kind or considerate, but instead rushes through them with no sense of responsibility. Similarly, Mole refuses to listen to Rat's reasoning, and hence almost drowns himself and later almost gets himself killed in the Wild Wood.
But like John, Tiger can fuel his temper in working out to overcome a problem. John is also a good man but finds his anger is made by the town. The events with witchcraft in the town caused everyone to lie and not stick to the real person they were. John like Tiger always has been himself and wouldn’t let anything change that. Both men used this to help solve the major problems faced.
Cherry is smart and dreamy like Ponyboy, and they have a good conversation. Seven Excerpt Responses “You cant win against them no matter how hard you try because they’ve got all the breaks and even whipping them isn't going to change the fact.” Chapter 1, Page 11 In this scene in the story, Ponyboy is asking His older brother Darry if he can participate int he gang rumble. Ponyboy recently got hurt in a church fire so Darry thinks it would be good for him to stay out of the fight but Ponyboy still really wants to. I think this excerpt is important to the story because it shows how daring and how Darry is telling Ponyboy with all mighty. It is a form of hyperbole because it is exaggerating what is going to happen.
One was when the boys were stuck on the island, Piggy was always picked on by Jack, the id, and ignored by Ralph, the ego, yet Piggy still tried to warn others of the tragedies ahead of them. Piggy cared about the others. In the book, Piggy said “I told you to get a list of names” (Golding 46). Piggy tried to get everyone’s name so that they felt accepted. By knowing everyone’s name everyone felt like they mattered.
Scout also does not understand the consequences of many things. This includes about fighting and the situation with Boo Radley, the Finch’s exclusive neighbour. Having such a young narrator gives To Kill a Mockingbird a different point of view to many other stories. It shows innocence and naivety, but also to not judge everything straight away. It helps ease the tension, especially during such a controversial novel.
Larry also has an affect on the heroism aspect of the novela. In my opinion Larry LaSalle is not a hero, because despite helping Nicole become a dancing star “he made me feel like a ballerina” and Francis “a table tennis champion”, he still has a horrible secret. He is not even ashamed of attacking “sweet young things”. He himself asked “does that one sin of mine wipe away all the good things?” But you could argue that he has ruined as many lives as he has helped. He doesn’t seem to have a conscience like Francis does; he is amazed that Francis feels bad at all ”you wanted to die because of that?” This shows that Larry could be still ruthless and that it didn’t mean anything to Francis.
There were many times when Phineas did something wrong and simply talked his way out of it. When the boys skipped dinner, which was not allowed, they were confronted about it. Phineas told a lie about getting ready for the war. These lies came to him naturally, and being outgoing certainly helped being a smooth-talker. On page 18, Gene admitted his envy towards Phineas.
