The atomic bomb was invented in America on august 16, 1945. The bomb was like no other. It was a bomb that was capable of grave destruction. If enough detonated it had the capacity of destroying the world. There was a total of 3 bombs constructed the first was a test the second was known as little boy and the third was known as fat man. When the bomb was first tested at the trinity site it created MASSIVE DESTRUCTION as it melted steel and tore apart houses that were placed near it in order to stimulate urban conditions. some creators of the atomic bomb were Albert Einstein and Robert Oppenheimer. The code name for the project was “The Manhattan Project.” The dropping of the two other bombs would eventually mean the end of the war but it was a harsh ending because the bomb did not kill soldiers, it killed innocent civilians who had nothing to do with the war most of which were innocent women and children. The nickname given to that atomic bomb was “Fat Man”. The U.S. should have given japan more tiem to recover from the shock by the attack on Hiroshima. A lot of innocent lives were taken on this day. The bombing of Nagasaki alone killed 37,000 people along with 43,000 injured people. Together the two bombs killed an estimated 200,000 Japanese civilians. We know that the atomic bomb is a weapon of mass destruction. It was designed for maximum destruction delivered in a small vessel. In my perspectice the dropping of the atomic bomb wasn’t nessasary as just the threat of the bomb i think would have been enough as the results observed at the trinity site were more than enough proof that this weapon was not to be taken lightly.
