Children are not servants and should not be treated as such. Child soldiers in Uganda are being subjected to cruel treatment and harsh conditions, but there are organizations helping to rejoin them back within society. Uganda abducts children and uses them as child soldiers and others uses as well. Some uses include them being made to fight in wars, as slaves, and to reveal an enemies location. Also, the wage for children cost less.
The youth should not put in prison It is not a good idea put the youth in the prison. so you think it is possible if they do something in crime without other manuduction need to put in the prison is right? The young people don’t know what is right and wrong. Also the youth don’t understand the law. The governments need to foster them.
(Photo #23 in the Robert Yager photo series illustrates the inappropriate behavior of Mexican gang members toward their children because) The vast majority of parents try to keep hazardous things away from their children yet this photo shows the opposite condition. It seems that Mexican gang members do not really care about their child’s safety. For instance, the photo presents drugs and guns, which are obviously inappropriate to put close to an innocent child. Undoubtedly, guns are harmful for children. They may kill themselves as they do not know the real function of guns.
Minors should not be tried as adults because they have not experienced the world like adults have, and they are not competent enough to go through or understand a trial. Many argue that minors should be tried as adults because they know what they are doing, and since society is changing and it’s not how it used to be 10 years ago, minors should be tried as adults for the reason that they need to learn their lesson and realize the crime they did was wrong. But in a recent study examining the mental health of minors after being tried as adults says, “66% of youth processed in adult criminal court had at least one psychiatric disorder and 43% had two or more types of disorders”. Another study was done for adults and it said, “less than 35% of adult males have a psychiatric disorder compared to 64% of transferred Youth”. I compared the two studies, and you can see that minors being tried as an adult have more of a chance to at least one psychiatric disorder.
Personally, I do not wish to become a probation officer. My goal is to work with troubled youth as a counselor for juveniles. Many times after getting into trouble a juvenile will be turned away by their parents or guardian. As the parent sees the child as a liability instead of a child, the juvenile will often be left out in the street with nowhere to go. In many cases the juvenile will commit more crimes because they have nobody to turn to or look out for them.
There is a difference, however, between punching your child in the face, and spanking him on the bottom when he is misbehaving. Unfortunately, some parents take smacking and spanking their children too far. Some parents use physical discipline to the point where the child is receiving bruises or starts bleeding. Banning the spanking of children will not solve the real abusive cases. People who abuse their children will not stop just because it is illegal(1, Selwyn Duke , The New American).
Spanking is Not an Effective Form of Discipline Com/156 August 21st, 2010 Jill Hughes Spanking is Not an Effective Form of Discipline There are many forms of discipline out there, and there are many opinions on these things. Even though Spanking is not an effective form of discipline seen by some people, there are other forms of discipline, because there is a difference between beating and spanking a child and time outs, toy removals, and canceled allowances can work instead. A little spanking does not hurt anything, but the other discipline options should be used first before any physical disciplines take affect. There are differences between beating and spanking a child. Beating is defined as whipping or thrashing in punishment or an act of repeated hitting or striking (Farlex, 2010).
Also including my personal observation on children in my own family. I want to persuade you on how dangerous it is to spoil our children and what we can do to prevent them from becoming “little brats”. Kids these days are more self-centered and their individuality appears at a young age, due to the lack of control by parents. And now you find them having privileges that till this day we don’t have access to, such as: expensive cell phones and top of the range laptops as well as having their own driver by the age of 7. I won’t go deep into physical details such as the harm on the eyesight and brain; I would simply be talking about the behavior of children today.
Teens are not the same as Adults Kari Adams December 7, 2012 B2 In the article, “Kids Are Kids – Until They Commit Crimes” Margie Lundstrom argues that teenagers should not be tried as adults because their resonating in not fully developed, but they should not go unpunished. I agree with this because teenagers’ brains are not fully developed, so their judgment is poor. Lundstrom states that “Kids are different. Their reasoning is not fully developed. They are not adults”(1).
The idea of taking children to day-care is unacceptable to a good number of people. They probably believe this because daycare involves putting someone else in the ‘parenting’ picture, someone to spend time with, and care for the child. However, this is not exactly negative. Day-care provides care for little children while their parents attend to other things, such as attending school or working to earn a living. It is important for those people who discourage day care to realize that not all parents can afford to stay at home with their children all day, as much as they would like to.
