The Amazing Spider-Man I chose the film The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) for movie review assignment. The series of “Spider-Man” is one of famous hero movie which is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. As many people have, I really have been expecting and waiting for The Amazing Spider-Man to release for a long time since I love hero films and I would listen to music of Marvel Entertainment. The film is a reboot of the Spider-man film franchise which is portraying the character’s origin story and his development into a superhero by being shot in 3D. The director of the music in the film is James Horner who wrote the score for the film.
The bright colours and matching of costumes to those seen in Bryan’s novel also make it good for analysing the Mise en Scene used in my chosen sequence. Comic/graphic novel iconography can be seen, in the opening of the sequence characters Kim, Scott, and Stephen are shown playing their instruments in a comic strip, each of them in individual panels. This is useful as it shows a close up of each of their reactions, providing the audience with insight into how the characters are feeling when Evil Ex #1 blasts through the wall. Here is a cut to Evil Ex #1 (Matthew Patel) flying through the air saying “Mr Pilgrim!” The speed he is travelling exaggerated by the use of ‘speed lines’. The ‘speed lines’ will have been created using special and visual effects such as CGI (elements of mise en scene).
Whether it is a connection to the superhero, the “Christ-like” image, or even seen as puberty Spider-man has been known to have deeper meanings. The story of how Peter Parker gained the superhuman powers similar to that of a spider is a very universal one. Getting bitten by a radioactive spider is the basis of most Spider-Man stories which makes it exciting for an audience. Also in the stories, Peter Parker is shown having difficulty with the transition of normal human to superhero which is a great journey for a reader seeing how even someone with superhuman abilities can deal with some hardships as well. It is sometimes told that the first time Spider-Man realized he needed to be a hero was when he saved a young boy and brought the child back to his father.
Kick Ass: The Hero’s Journey “Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.” Joseph Campbell was the author who identified the concept of the hero’s journey. This quote can be interpreted as meaning that when hard times are forced upon people, people are often forced to look within themselves and find the strength to power through it all. In the movie Kick Ass, released on June 7th 2010, Dave Lizewski is a teenage boy whose story exemplifies this idea perfectly. Lizewski was nothing more than a social misfit hiding from the brutality of high school in his world of comic books and superheroes. Living in an impoverish and crime filled city, he learns early on that, since he’s not a tough kid, the safest thing to do is be invisible and back down from any sort of trouble without asking questions.
He goes from being an average, everyday nerd, to a superhero who always saves the day. He starts out as Peter Parker, but when duty calls. It’s a quick transformation to Spiderman the super hero; he has a double identity. Peter and his class go to a laboratory one day and he gets bitten by an irradiated spider. This spider mutates Peter’s DNA and gives him his Spiderman transformation overnight.

The story begins on a gloomy day and the introduction of the angel brings an out of the world element into the story. Again the arrival of the spider-woman, a magical non-human also catches the attention of children. While she is a magical creature in looks, the reason for her condition – lack of obedience- is one that all children can relate to. Besides magical realism, the author has also used imagery to make the story vivid. He starts with the descriptions such as “March nights glimmered like powdered light”, “a stew of mud and rotten shellfish”, and continues to hold attention throughout the story by references such as “the back side of his wings was strewn with parasites” and “a whirlwind of chicken dung and lunar dust”.
He has an enormous mansion overlooking the ocean in southern California and his transportation is a collection of exotic sports cars. Spider Man became who he is by accident, after being bitten by a radioactive spider during a class field trip. The spider's venom formed a mutation in his body that gave him superpowers of superior strength/speed and the ability to shoot spider webs from his wrists. His ability to shoot spider webs allows him to, climb walls, swing from roof tops and stop villains by entangling them in spider webs. Tony Stark began his transformation
The Unsolvable Puzzle: Searching for Connections in The Favourite Game Every horror film fan has seen the face Billy the puppet, the demented character representing the infamous jigsaw killer. He rolls around on his miniature tricycle explaining the rules of “the game” to the unwilling participants: “Live or die. Make your choice.” In Leonard Cohen’s semiautobiographical novel The Favourite Game, Lawrence Breavman is stuck in his own game. Breavman is living his life in a constant state of expectation due to ideas instilled in him by his mother, who is ultimately the cause of his commitment issues. This affects Breavman’s ability to connect with others, ultimately leading to his disconnection from the world.

Everything happened with Alice in the Wonderland is like a dream as she awakes on where the story begin at the end of the novel. “Harry Potter” is a series of seven fantasy novels, written by the British author, J.K. Rowling.
