Are the Walls Parents Good? What do we consider as good parents? Well in my perspective I feel that good parents are ones that have love for their child. When you’re a parent you want to make sure that you are always there for your kid no matter what the situation is. Things could be going good or bad, but you always make sure that you are right there by the side.
1. As a teacher, I can promote resilience in my classroom by creating positive and caring relationships with my parents and children. Promoting caring relationships with my families would be top priority in my classroom. Parents have to trust that their children are safe and welled cared for when they leave their children in my care. For example, I would host a family day where the students can bring their parent s to school for the day.
Unfortunately, the FCAT does not evaluate student’s performance correctly due to students that fall under pressure. The pressure that student’s feel and encounter is also known as test anxiety. According to Channel 7 reporter Erica Rakow’s in the article “FCAT Stresses Students Out, she claims” The responsibility of passing both reading and math portion of the FCAT in 10 grade adds a stressful ambiance to students who really do not want to retake it as a junior (par.2). Rakow also points out “That responsibility includes promotions to the next grade, and future funding for their school. Some students get so worked up about the test they can’t even get through it (par.3).

Every parent hopes their child will grow up to be successful, self reliant and respectful. In some instances such as in the short story "Be-ers and Doers" by Budge Wilson you can have a parent pushing you too far to become their idea of the “perfect child". However in the short story "The most powerful Question a Parent Can Ask..." by Neil Millar, the author shows us that there are more efficient ways of raising a child. “The most powerful Question a Parent Can Ask...” has a much more respectful approach when it comes to raising
After being indulged in this project with Gloria, it really helped me to get to know her more. Gloria was very caring, intelligent, and also ambitious. In her spare time, she participated in community service activities; she believed that it was very important to give back to the community. She would go to homeless shelters and help serve food during the holidays. In addition, every Saturday she attended a community college to tutor kids with special needs.
You need to know that children are a 24/7 job. Not a whenever you feel like it I’ll do it thing. They need to know the comfort and safety that someone is always going to be there for them no matter what. 3. I want to be like my parents in how they raised me in having a nice clean home, being consistent with our routines, and always having food in my belly.
The relationship with parents/carers is the first and most important relationship in a child’s life. They need to have a strong bond or attachment to their primary carers to feel loved and secure. Parents are a childs first teachers so they build the basis for the development. It is important that the child is praised for their actions and not criticised to help build their self esteem and self worth. It is important for children and young people to have friends as they learn social skills that will be important to them throughout their lives. These skills can be vital to maintaining social relationships and help them be able to resolve conflict.
While I was working at Taco Bell, I have learned to manage my finances as well as respect and appreciate the hard work. Because of my responsibilities, I learned to coordinate schoolwork, sports, community service, and other activities to be successful. I want to break the barriers my minority group faces and put my accomplishments to good use by giving back to my community in Santa Ana and hopefully in San Jose. My experiences as a daughter to immigrant parents and as a contributor to our family’s income have shaped me into a responsible and determined individual. My experiences will contribute to the Educational Opportunity Program because they show the positive attitude that I have maintained amidst constant struggles.
