In today’s society there are both educational cartoons and educational programs that are now widely available on television for children. These differ from other programs on television today because there are strict guidelines for learning. While there are many different ways for children to learn and the television can become another resourceful tool for everyone to utilize. Some parents do not realize that when they are allowing their children to sit down and watch television for hours on end that there could be a show that is educational and will help to fill the child’s mind with knowledge and not pollution.

Children cannot justify the difference between reality and fantasy .The variety of violent and sexual programs makes them more vulnerable to learn from and adopting as reality. If a child is use to having there own way all the time, such as eating lunch whilst watching TV, when the child is at nursery and boundaries are in place this can cause the child to have temper tantrums and become angry. This will affect his social, emotional and behaviour development.
In the United States, television is sometimes censored for offensive language and behavior. Many audiences that watch TV or films usually get bothered based on the offensive languages.
