Travelling with my team is definitely less stressful then when I do it myself. Linda, our team manager, basically takes care of all the details, I just basically have to wait in the check-in line show my ID and get onto the airplane. I step through the automatic door to see my team-mates waiting in a ridiculously long line. Our plane is scheduled to leave in an hour but I swear there
takeera Barfield Comp& Lit It was a hot sunny day in June the day was after my 10th birthday I will never forget I had woke up really early that morning before my mom, my dad, my brothers and sister in fact, I didn’t even get much sleep the night before because I was super excited . I don’t remember eating breakfast that morning and I always eat breakfast but of course I didn’t care I just wanted to leave. I thought the day would never come but it did .Every year before that we’d plan our big family trip to Disney World but something always came up and we end up not going but that year we were actually going and I couldn’t believe it.
My First flight was probably the most memorable experiences that I have ever had in my life. This experience also had a great impact on me the most because it was a lot of fun and exciting to go somewhere over sea. I have ridden in a boat before back in Vietnam, it was fun to ride on a boat but it was nothing compare to this flight. The difference is that when you are on an airplane you are more
Heroes and Heroines By Anna Wright As the 1920s began, the world of aviation was new to the United States. The invention of airplanes was fresh on the American scene, and both men and women found joy in the freedom of flight and the wonder of see their lives far below them. Two particular pilots, Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh, left a lasting impression in aviation, as well as in the hearts of all Americans. Charles Lindbergh, a pilot from a small town in Minnesota, became the first person to make a nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic. Many had previously tried for this accomplishment that came along with a $25,000 reward, but on May 20, 1927, Lindbergh set off on a flight that turned him into a hero (not to mention $25,000 richer).
I forget how many levels of the ship there were, but it seemed like a lot because by the time we got to the top it seemed like we had been walking through it forever. Getting to the top was pretty cool because they had a lot of old jet planes up there and we were able to sit in some of them and take pictures. At the end of the day, I remember being very worn out from all the walking around. After all the nice, fun, and relaxing days in California our weekend vacation came to end and we all had to head back to Arizona. Keep in mind, we are still driving the minivan until we reach Yuma again and can pick up the SUV that was being worked on.
The dinner was magical as we ate some of the best food we had ever tasted and watched the most beautiful sunset we had ever witnessed. I’m not sure if it was the pollution or just God helping me out but the sunset had every color of the rainbow in

During the summer after my sophomore year of college, I spent 8 weeks in Guatemala on a service trip that I ventured into with the naïve notions that I was saving the world. Bright eyed with excitement over the opportunity to make an impact, I was about to step outside of my little bubble into one of the most eye opening and humbling experiences. Probably the most defining moment of the trip happened when I was in Nebaj. As I sat on the La Pista runway, gazing up at the beautiful mountains surrounding me, all I saw was beauty and serenity. I openly marveled at the breathtaking surroundings around me, only to see pained reactions from my host family.
Joining the navy on July 27, 2007 was one of the happiest days ever, I wanted to be travel the world and see different places, places I’ve never seen. Be able to shop and have things that no one else would have. I graduated from boot camp and was sent to the newest aircraft carrier in the fleet the USS George H.W Bush. On January 12, 2010 we got devastating news that and earthquake had just hit Haiti. At the time the ship wasn’t going out to sea so they were able to send volunteers to help the victims of the earthquake, so I decided to volunteer.
