Using The Core Values Everyday Many people know the words Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage and what they mean, but how often do we actually live up to them? I learned the Seven Core Army Values through JROTC and ROTC programs and I have noticed that I practically use them everyday. I show loyalty by believing in myself and my fellow cadets here with me in this ROTC program. I will support my leadership and also stand up for the team/cadets. Another way that I show loyalty is by wearing the uniform of the U.S. Army. Not only am I a Cadet but a Student Athlete as well. I will come to practice and training to better my performance as well as score points for the team to participate in big events; which fall under duty. "Treating others with dignity and respect while expecting others to do the same," is what I live by. Respect is trusting that all people have done their jobs and fulfilled their duty. Each organization whether its Track or ROTC we both participate in community service, where we do it loyally without thought of recognition or gain. Here we partake in Selfless Service. Doing what is right, legally and morally is nothing but Integrity. As my integrity grows, the trust in others will grow as well. I also build my personal courage by standing up on a day to day basis , and acting upon the things that I think are honorable. Finally Honor; I live up to all Army Values. It’s a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity and personal courage in everything I
