I think the original purpose of the image is to really get the point across that people should not text while driving. It is trying to get peoples attention to ask them “is a text really worth looking at while you are driving, it cannot wait?” So the creator is trying to argue to stay away from texting and driving because losing your life or causing an accident just because of a text is not worth it. Pathos As you take a look at this picture different types of emotions and feelings go through your head. The emotion that the picture itself portrays for people to see is pain. The way the car is smashed to together just shows how hard the two cars collided together.

Texting while driving is becoming an increasing threat on the road, as texting is becoming an important part of American’s lives. If you think you’ve mastered the art of texting while driving, you’re wrong. Texting while driving severely decreases awareness, and makes it easier to be involved in an accident. Texting while driving has become a major cause of accidents, especially among young drivers.
I am hoping that you seriously learn that text driving is just not worth it. Learn that a message can wait until you are stopped or at a safe location. We need to find ways to inform every one of the dangers of texting while driving, and this is not just for our teens but also for adults. He states that many cell phone companies won't give records or even keep track of things like that. Another main reason is that even if a person was to be texting while driving most of the time he or she will not admit to it.

Not only does it make you more unaware of the road mentally but if you do not have a Bluetooth headset or speaker phone then you will only have one free hand to drive with. If you are fully engaged in a conversation your emotions can change from one topic to another. It is never safe to drive while being upset about something. If you are fighting our having an important conversation while texting or talking on the phone make sure to pull over and wait till it is over.
You could have easily injured or killed someone else or yourself. On top of it all, you are to blame for causing the accident. The whole situation could have been avoided if you had waited until you reached your destination before looking at your phone.
