P3 In this task, I will be writing about how to focus on the customers by providing good customer service as it is essential in retailing. I will be focusing on how retailers are related to their customers at functions such as after sales service. Customer focus In a business, it is vital that they concentrate on customers’ needs and ensure that they meet their customer needs better than the competitors. Importantly, the retailers are expected to meet the customers’ satisfaction; living up to the customers’ expectations and even more if required. This ensures that the customers are loyal to the company and more interested in other services provided which automatically increases the profits. To achieve the best level of customer satisfaction, the retailers need to be more customer focused by providing products and services which focuses on the customers and offer high value for money since it attracts the customers. Furthermore, they need to pay attention to the wants of individual customers as this increases the quality of customer service; the customer will be pleased which leads to them being loyal to the company. Being customer focus does not only mean meeting the requirements of customer while the business is open; it also means to providing the best and efficient after-sales service. This could lead to the customers sharing their experience to their family and friends which means the reputation of the company grows which automatically increases the profits. Organisations should collect information from customers in order to know what they want and tailor everything in respect to pleasing the customers. This upsurges the satisfaction in the customers which overall effects everyone, customers and the organisation.
