2.1 Description of my contract of employment. Job title Home care worker. Place of work My place of work is as advised by my company this will be within reasonable travelling distance from my home. I’m expect to visit several service users in the course of my working day and therefor have several places of work. Payment. Mileage is paid per mile and is payable from your first service user of the day to the arrival at the last service users home of the day. We hold all responsibility to ensure all millage to be recorded accurately on the appropriate sheets and handed in weekly with time sheets. Payments are made on a basis of a week of 7 days Monday to Sunday. Payments are made in arrears by BACS transfer on the Friday of each week for the period of the week prior to the week in which you are paid. Hours of work Employment is on a zero hours contract therefor not provided with guaranteed hours of work. Basic hours of work will be agreed at interview. Weekly hours and shifts are arrange and notified in advance. In it condition of employment that we are co-operative and flexible in working outside of agreed availability as necessary to cope with varying situations and work load. Time keeping. All employees are required to have a responsible attitude towards time keeping. Therefor expected to be ready to start work at the commencement of the normal working day. Persistent lateness will render the employee liable to disciplinary action, which could lead to dismissal. Holidays The holiday year runs from the 1st April to the 31st March. Full annual entitlement is 5.6 weeks inclusive of bank holidays. Due to the nature of the work, if a bank holidays fall on your normal working day, you will be required to work.
