Henrik Ibsen depicts how the conscious and subconscious motives and desires are obtained. Kristine Linde is a woman who has had to give up her dreams due to circumstances beyond her control. She was once in love but because her mother “was bedridden and helpless”and she “had to provide for two younger brothers”(Ibsen, 2011, p. 556) she was forced to marry for convenience of the situation. We can tell this has made her look at life in a more realistic and wise view than that of her friend Mrs Nora Helmer the main character. Mrs Linde has had to work hard and was not afforded love and children which she longed to have.
Why? 3. When books are made into film versions, the ending of the story is often changed. (it is either made more concrete or final, and sometime a sad ending is even changed into a happy one.) Would you change the ending of The Shawshank Redemption?
From a professional view, I will use the knowledge obtained to become competent in my line of work. I will apply the use of writing, in my personal life to not only become better, but assist my kids, family and friends in doing the same. Setting my goals for writing a academic paper, I expect to have the abilities to use basic and advanced skills to produce good material. My challenges for writing for others, involve abiding by the instructions given, be precise and practice professionalism.
Writing a Worthy Essay: EASY! Writing a fabulous essay is a challenge for most of the students; however, teachers teach students with the hope of getting the best writing from them. Have you ever written a good essay following the right steps? A college essay is just more than one paragraph; therefore, you should have knowledge enough for writing the specific topic you will be writing about. In fact, you have to be organized so that the audience can understand what the purpose of your essay is about.
This encourages students like me to think in different ways, ask questions and explore new ideas which allows for additional growth and development as well as provides an edge in the job market compared to those without a higher education. “One of the reasons I like classes and structured learning is that they encourage --and contribute to--the belief that life is orderly, that things happen when they are supposed to happen, that actions have predictable results and that events are controllable.” For me, the personal satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment upon receiving a college degree is one that cannot easily be topped. Also, a college education is important to me because the types of jobs that you are going to be able to get will change. Rather than being a janitor or working at a fast food place, you can be a lawyer or a doctor. You are able to learn a specialized trait that those without a degree would be unable to do.
Shirley Chisholm state that “The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says it’s a girl” it is no surprise that women are looked down upon by society. For thousands of years it has always been said that women are weaker than man. Feminist criticism is a type of literacy criticism where were asked to examine society’s unfair treatment to women. Judy Brady’s essay “I want a wife” explores how married women are conditioned and their expectations in a patriarchal society. In “I want a wife”, Judy demonstrate how women are conditioned to be care takers for their home and family.
Language is a key in relationship. We all use English language in different ways depending how we grow up with it. While, on the other hand, in the article, “Mother Tongue” Amy Tan describes how English affected her and lead her to become a great writer “When I was growing up, my mother’s ‘limited’ English limited my perception of her. I was ashamed of her English.” Her mother’s limited English actually helped her a lot, and I strongly believe that her mother’s limited English lead her to become a great writer. By that meaning, when Amy Tan was a kid, she saw how her mother had difficulties in the society because the lack of communication.
However, during the feedback to the student more relevance and time was spent on explaining the comments rather than the scoring of the assessment. The author of this essay feels it should still contain both comments and scoring but should be re-arranged to give it a more use friendly format. Hoda’s mother Rahel passed away when Hoda was still a very young girl. Leaving Hoda to find out stuff on her own; stuff a mother should teach her daughter about.
