I chose to do my museum report on three selected pieces from Sacramento’s Crocker art museum. There were two specific reasons that I chose this museum, first was that I wanted to see what beautiful art our city was holding in side these historical walls. The second was that I remember going to this particular museum when I was younger and wanted to see if it felt the same after taking this class and actually being able to look at art in a new way. My experience was so great It was like walking into the past, who knew of all the history paintings could show. The first piece of art I analyzed was Swabian Hamlet after a Rain by Christian Friedrich Mali.
Randy Sparks, of the New Christy Minstrels, suggested a change in name and "I chose Denver because my heart longed to live in the mountains". Denver nearly joined the Byrds but instead became part of the popular Chad Mitchell Trio, and in 1967, they recorded his composition, "Leavin' on a Jet Plane". Denver wrote it in Washington "not so much from feeling that way for someone, but from the longing of having someone to love". He soon did have someone to love, as he met Ann Martell and followed her on a skiing trip to Aspen. They were married later that year.

Throughout the novel the weather changes reflecting the mood and atmosphere of the characters. Gatsby at first doubt himself in asking Nick to do this favor for him and the rain reflects the fact that he is unsure of himself. However, when Gatsby and Daisy rekindle their friendship and love, the weather clears up and becomes sunny and beautiful.
Prize-winning author Ann Patchett ("Bel Canto," "Truth and Beauty," "The Magician's Assistant") once confessed that the single most important artistic influence on her work is "The Poseidon Adventure," the 1933 Paul Gallico potboiler that was made into a classic 1970s action-adventure-disaster movie featuring Gene Hackman and Ernest Borgnine fighting their way out of a luxury liner capsized by a 100-foot tidal wave. Patchett explained, "['The Poseidon Adventure'] was the first time I saw something that made me think, Oh, that's what plot is: you're going along, it's fine, then everything turns upside down; people band together, sacrifices are made, there's passion, there's loss, there's a journey and at the end you cut a hole in the boat and

If the film makers had chosen to shoot that opening scene of the flooded and derelict family home on a bright sunny day how would the audience have known that some form of change has occurred? A family home bathed in sunlight implies happiness and family togetherness. The darkness and brooding cold of the shot tells us that the extension of the narrative that will make up this new film comes from a time of depression and of obscurity for the Corleone family. The opening scenes of The Godfather Part Three also highlight the importance of setting as a way to drive and develop the narrative. The family home is in ruins.
