Do you believe that it is our choices rather than chance that determine destiny? In this life, you have many choices that determine the outcome of you life. The quote, “Choice, not chance, determines destiny” applies to criminal activity, job and school. Firstly, criminals have in their minds the consequences of what can happen before they take the chance to commit any crime. It is their choice to commit the crime when giving the chance to do so. In other words, the criminal that goes in the supermarket and sees that there is a chance to steal without being seen is making the choice that can determine his or her destiny to either get away or get caught. Not only does this apply to criminal activity, it also applies to employment. Secondly, the type of employment that each individual has can solely be based on the choices that they make. Every individual is given the same chance to make the choice on what to become in life. Being punctual and completing assignments before end of shifts makes for a good employee. It is a choice to follow all policies and procedures that will help them to achieve their goals. Not only does this apply to employment, it also applies to school. Finally, attending school and getting a higher education is a choice, not a chance for individuals to better their lives. They make the choice to attend regular scheduled classes plus labs to improve overall grades. The individual having the knowledge to know what steps needed to take to achieve their maximum goal. Many can take the chance, but it is the choices that they make when given the chance that determines their destiny.
