Osama bin Laden, then head of the militant group al-Qaeda, was killed in Pakistan on Monday, May 2, 2011, shortly after 1 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time by a United States Special Forces military unit. The operation, code-named Operation Neptune Spear, was ordered by United States President Barack Obama and carried out in a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operation by a team of United States Navy SEALs. Bin Laden's death was welcomed throughout much of the world as a fitting end to a figure who had inspired mass bloodshed and a positive and significant turning point in the fight against al-Qaeda and related groups. The entire incident has shaken the global legal community; dividing it into two namely those who feel the U.S. Government was justified in killing or assassinating bin Laden and those who feel the U.S. Government may have overstepped the legitimacy of its action and violated international and human rights law. This controversy depends upon the argument of whether bin Laden can be classified as an enemy combatant or not.
The 1983 Bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon Jason Sauerland Southwest Florida College Abstract The bombing ob the United States Marine Corps barracks in Beirut, Lebanon was a very tragic incident for all American soldiers. It was the United States’ first experience with a suicide bomb, the largest non-nuclear explosion detonated on the face of the Earth, and it marked the beginning of an era for the Middle East and the United States. On October 23, 1983, at approximately 6:30 AM, a yellow Mercedes delivery truck drove to Beirut International Airport, where the United States Marines had their headquarters. The truck was a hijacked water delivery truck, and was driven by Ismalal Ascari, an Iranian. The truck contained about 12,000 pounds of TNT, and it plowed over the barbed wire fence and past

A gun battle broke out when the troops surrounded the castle or building in which Bin Laden was located and finally shot him in the head. However, this crime hit the headlines and brought happiness to Americans including myself. President Obama emphasizes “For over two decades, Bin Laden has been al Qaeda’s leader and symbol. The death of Bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat Al Qaeda” . (This quote explains how our President personally felt about our country killing Osama Bin
In this periodical from the Time magazine written by Mark Thompson, he writes about the case of a U.S National Guard member, Matt Magdaz, who murdered his own family and then committed suicide. While this article does contain extensive details about the crime committed in 2007, Mark Thompson mentions the psychological effects of war on soldiers. He also writes about the "failure of the U.S military's safety procedures" that are responsible for the soldiers who suffer psychological effects due to their time spent in combat. The 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated by rogue elements in the United States government and American Security Services (CIA, FBI, Secret Service, etc).By analysing evidence from the Warren Commission, The House Select Committee on Assassinations, FBI reports, the Zapruder and Hughes films and the many conspiracy theories that exist, we can conclude who assassinated President John F. He was shot twice, once in the head and once in the back, a third shot had injured Texas governor Connally. Kennedy and Connally were then rushed to the Parkland Memorial Hospital and placed in separate emergency
Who was REALLY behind John F. Kennedy’s assassination? One of the most shocking events of the 20th century was undoubtedly that of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. No one expected that on a perfectly clear day such was that of Friday,November 22,in Dallas, Texas, at precisely 12:30 p.m. Central standard time in the Dailey Plaza president Kennedy would be shot fatally while he was riding Jacqueline Kennedy, his wife, in the Presidential motorcade. After a ten-month investigation of the Warren Commission of 1963–1964, the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) of 1976–1979, and other government investigations concluded that the President was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Afterward Jack Ruby murdered Oswald
It’s been four years since a group of US Navy Seals assassinated Osama bin Laden in a night raid on a high-walled compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The killing was the high point of Obama’s first term, and a major factor in his re-election. The White House still maintains that the mission was an all-American affair, and that the senior generals of Pakistan’s army and Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) were not told of the raid in advance. This is false, as are many other elements of the Obama administration’s account. The White House’s story might have been written by Lewis Carroll: would bin Laden, target of a massive international manhunt, really decide that a resort town forty miles from Islamabad would be the safest place to live and command al-Qaida’s operations?
