This value was seen particularly when during their double date Joey pulls Chandler over to the side and tells him that he and Loraine are going back his place by saying “I'm outta here. Here's my credit card. Dinners on me. I'm sorry, Chandler.” Chandler then responds by saying “ I hope she throws up on you” which is followed by an audience laugh. Tolerance is shown here because although Chandler is upset that Joey is leaving him alone, he tolerates this and makes a joke about her throwing up on him and lets him go.
Symbolism in “Hills Like White Elephants” “Hills Like White Elephants" by Ernest Hemingway is a short story about an American man and a girl named Jig who are confronted with a difficult issue of whether or not terminate a pregnancy. The main tension within this story is that Jig sees the possibility of keeping her child and having a happy life, while the man fails to see the positive possibilities and works to persuade her to go through with the abortion. Hemingway uses symbolism through alcohol, the hills, the white elephants, and the train station to develop the theme of the story. Hemingway’s writing style in this story is well crafted. His simple style and taut dialogue pull readers into the story, and he shares just enough about the couple to keep the readers interested.
“Finally, Gale is here and maybe there is nothing romantic between us, but when he opens his arms I don’t hesitate to go into them” Katniss recounted (Collins 38). This quote really pushes the point that they do not have a romantic relationship, but the possibility of it is still there. Katniss is putting up a wall for Gale to break down which will make her see Gale in a new light. Where he is envisioned as not just a friend, but also as a flame that is romantic intertwined. Secondly, in the opening scene of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire when Katniss gets ready to shoot the turkeys, but has a flashback to when she shot the tribute that killed Rue in the games, instead of running into Gale’s arms and hugging, they just stand there very robotically and never really connect in this part of the film.

On three different occasions District and Supreme Court judges thought it would be a better idea for women to be withheld their rights just because of their belief of pro-choice, whether in the form of abortion or contraceptives. Although, this has been an ongoing argument since the beginning of time, to date these rights are still protected by the Constitution. Judges are meant to protect this and not make up their own rules along the

Some of them are minor and disappear after a couple years because they have been either resolved or forgotten and then there are those that never seem to go away. Abortion to me is one of those issues that never seem to go away and I do not see it going away or being solved anytime soon. Abortion is a topic that no one can ever agree on. Some believe that abortion is ok while others think that it is a mortal sin and should never be done let alone be legal.
For teen pregnancy, I understand some religious don’t think you should have a pregnancy before marriage. But if you don’t want to have a child, why you have sex at a young age? For victims of rape, you should not choose abortion because abortion is always a result of risking. There are a lot of options such as adoption. According to Kristi Burton Brown in “Why Do More People Choose Abortion Over Adoption article” he says: “In the USA, there are approximately two million infertile couples waiting to adopt, many times regardless of the child’s medical problems such as Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, HIV infection or terminally ill. Dr. Brad Imler, President of America’s Pregnancy Helpline, confirms the challenge of waiting couples by stating: “Only 1% of the Helpline’s annual 40,000 clients inquires about adoption.” If the woman doesn’t want to have a baby, they can choose adoption solution.
