THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING ABROAD Nowadays in developing countries, almost every student desires to get an opportunity to study abroad. Some people may ask, “Why is there great importance studying abroad, especially from developing countries to developed countries?” English as a worldwide means of conveying message, learning from native speakers makes more improvements. Also, it provides exposure to new culture and modern technology that do not exist in your home county. Meeting new people leads to new contact from different countries. The higher quality of education from abroad will give you a wide opportunity to get immediate employment after graduation. To begin, studying abroad is a good opportunity to improve our bi-lingual skills. English is an international language and very common all over the world. Even in our local countries we find instructions on imported goods written in English. Also, official meetings and workshops use English as a means of communication held in and out of the county. Therefore, making improvements on the ability to speak and write English will enhance international competence. Learning from native speakers helps tremendously to improve language more than in local countries. Now that I look back on the first day I arrived in the United States, I remember saying these words, “When I arrived in the United States, I realized that most English words are not pronounced properly in my country. For example, hot is pronounced as ‘hot’ instead of ‘hat’.” Secondly, quality education can develop a student’s career and be obtained by studying abroad. Qualified teachers, a favorable studying environment, and an updated curriculum enable students to get a quality education.
