Immigrants from China built the Transcontinental Railroad, which brought our country together by connecting the East and West. Many have become scientists or engineers and have created numerous ideas and inventions to make our lives better. Immigration is the largest factor contributing to population growth and contributes over 2.25 million people to the U.S. population annually. (Elbel) The chart shows the U.S. has traditionally allowed relatively small numbers to immigrate, thus allowing for decades of assimilation. After the peak of about 8.7 million in the first decade of the 20th century, numbers went steadily down.
Like stated China has the man power to do just about anything quickly even working on extremely large projects could be a breeze for china. Take the Three Gorges Dam; it would have taken many other countries more than 30 years while china completed
12. It’s becoming hard to assign companies to one’s home country due to globalization. Most companies these days are world wide, with a possibility of having multiple hearths. This serves as a challenge because roughly 1/3 of global trade is within the multinational companies. For example, China generates more than 21% of U.S. economic output and employs 3/5s of all manufacture’s employees (about 1 million).
Although there are many similarities between the development of Chicago and Chongqing, the speed and scale of Chongqing’s development is unprecedented and puts it in a class of its own. Chongqing is growing eight times as fast as Chicago had, averaging three hundred thousand new people a year. These citizens migrate to cities like Chongqing mainly for employment. In China, there is a massive pool of labor that will work for very low wages, as many Chinese individuals are used to surviving on less than two dollars a day. Combine inexpensive labor with modern factory technology, and one may understand the reason for huge investments in city expansion projects and infrastructure, and perhaps the Chinese competitive advantage.
Background Observation of the existing technology made over the last five years. In my first year at FHS, there were three computer labs that were used by seniors and juniors. During the next four years, four more computer labs were added, one of which was used for a ninth grade business class. This year the technology coordinator for FHS is in the process of setting up two ninth grade computer labs, one for English and one for math. For instance, Canada’s four main emerging products could be associated to with different sections of the Chinese economy ranging from ores to manufacturing, from wood to residential construction and from vegetable oil and seeds to domestic consumer consumption. In 2012, 31 percent of Canada’s ores were exported to China, making China its biggest customer for ores. Furthermore, export of wood and oil seeds increased by 74 percent and 167 percent respectively, in 2012. As China’s demand for more sophisticated products increases, Canadian exporters will have a unique opportunity to capitalize on this by providing more services related to their products. Although there is shift in China’s economic policies, its massive domestic market will
Its no surprise that China is one of the most Industrialistic country with over 1, 330, 044, 544 people ( as of July 2008 Source: www.google.com ) which in my scientific analysis says nearly 700, 000, 000 are in the work force and within nearly 100, 000, 000 or less (much, much less) are in agriculture or livestock. Thus this is how China has become one of the worlds super powers. When you look at the numbers it makes no sense. But to a economist (or a really smart person ) the meaning is clear. More people = more workers = more money.
There are many differnt programs offered such as graduate programs, accellerated, and undergraduate. In an interview with Ashton Lowry (an anesthesiologist) he was very informitaive. One of the questions asked was how many years he had to go to college for. His response was, "It depends on what type of degree you are working to obtain. I ended up going to school for a little over 8 years to earn the degree I was looking for."

This has recorded continued growth of approximately 15 million people annually since then. Therefore, their government has placed a considerable amount of effort in ensuring that the Chinese population lives a better life. However, the process of ensuring this size of a population has a decent and high standard of living has posed a big challenge.
