She said “There were things Amanda wasn’t telling her.” Amanda didn’t share a lot of her secrets with the people in the group which just shows that the group didn’t really know her at all. Kate and Joe were supposed to be Amanda’s closest friends in the group. Kate knew Amanda was acting strange and there were things she wasn’t telling her. Kate just assumed that it had to do with Amanda’s ex-boyfriend, Steve and though nothing of it. She never asked her what was wrong.
Non Verbal Messages: Just Wright The film begins with Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah) leaving her fixer-upper house, which her dad is helping her fix. She goes to work as a physical therapist at a rehabilitation center and heads off to a date afterwards. The date goes very well, they talk and seem to click. When they leave, she alludes to another date, when he stops her and explains that he’s not ready to date. She’s obviously been given this speech in the past because she finishes all of his sentences.
Before the play even begins, the antecedent action includes Abigail and Proctor having an affair. Sex out of wedlock is a heinous crime and Abigail would be severely punished if ever found out, so the risk she takes tells of how starved she is for love. Similarly, Abigail continues to lust for Proctor even after the affair ends. In the seven months after she left the Proctor house, she convinces herself that Proctor does indeed love her. She makes herself believe that his wife, Elizabeth Proctor, stands in their way.

She seldom takes notes, even when Daran reviews material for tests, and instead makes jokes to other students about how she does not care about school. Your friend also has overheard Caitlin complain that this history stuff is just boring and that it is too much work to get an A in this class. Daran feels Caitlin is completely unmotivated. It's easy to see why Rich believes that when she was a student, what she was taught "in no way prepared [female students] to survive as . . .wom[e]n in a world organized by men" (211). In my opinion, not a lot of women around this age would have been brave enough to write an article about taking women students serious for fear of oppression. Many women probably did not even know how to write because their were neglected from their studies or were probably always to busy doing what ever their husbands wanted them to do.
Like the Ladies League only socialized with members that were only acceptable to the president Mrs. Hilly. Though when Celia Foote came to Jackson and wanted to join the Ladies League Mrs. Hilly didn’t want her join because past situations and because of her lack of class. Everyone else in the League conformed to everything that Hilly said because they all wanted to stay in the League with out any trouble. Though Celia never really socialized after Minny started working for her because of her pregnancy. This made Minny supicious about her where abouts.
Hester Prynne: A Casualty in her own Erotic War. In The Scarlet Letter, Hawthorne’s depiction of Hester Prynne’s inner turmoil can be viewed and deliberated on in numerous ways. As the reader myself, Hester’s inner turmoil is given off as that when she is denying her secret of Dimmesdale being her lover, she wishes she could deny that anything between them ever happened. Whenever Hester would think about her sin of adultery, Hester would in turn feel sick to her stomach. To me it looks as though Hester believes that Dimmesdale and herself could be together, but will not be able to on this earth before they die.

Faye worried how the relationship with her boyfriend Kai would be affected be her inability to conceive children from her internal injuries of a car wreck.
After all almost everyone at the time believed that "the female brain was different then the male brain. "(Reifert 78) Blackwell finally gained admittance to Geneva College after a unanimous vote of the student body to let her in. This vote should not be taken as a sign that men were becoming more accepting of women infiltrating what was formally known as male only territory. It should be noted that most of the students believed that either the vote was a joke or that Blackwell would not stay around long. Blackwell proved all the skeptics wrong by graduating in the top of her class, but still no hospital in the United States would allow her to intern.
