Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules At the start of the book, Greg explains how bad his summer was with his brother Rodrick, who knows a secret that Greg is trying to keep. When Greg returns to school, he finds out he still has the Cheese Touch, but he gets away with passing it on to a new kid, called Jeremy Pindle. Later, it is clear that Greg and Rodrick are always broke, so Mom starts a "Mom Bucks" program. Rodrick, at first, mismanages the money on his magazines, while Greg carefully manages the cash. Rodrick has an upcoming science project, and tells it that he would prefer to do it on 'Gravity', but clearly shows no effort, and asks his family members to do it for him.
The prisoners are forced to run 42 miles in one night during a blizzard. Those unable to keep up are shot. The refugees stop in a small village where Eliezer and his father keep each other awake to avoid freezing to death. Rabbi Eliahu enters a small shack occupied by Eliezer, looking for his son. Eliezer recalls--after Eliahu's departure--seeing his son desert his father, something he prays for strength never to do.
Hugo also has authority over his younger brother Nigel by making him cry and faking a surprised reaction when their mom asks. He even convinces Jason to smoke even after telling him they are horrible for the lungs: “Hugo’s trying to teach me how to be a kid like him, but I can’t even smoke a single cigarette” (66). So he continues to watch his fellow classmates, even observing a couple make love, hoping to gain a better reputation. The Cold War takes away the joyful spirit of the town, just in time for Jason to receive a secret letter from Spooks, the secret society in his town Black Swan. It turns out he and another one of his classmates received the letter to meet up at the graveyard.
He leads them down the hallway to the tomb exhibit, but they get scared and run off, leaving Holden alone in the dark, cramped passage. Holden likes it at first, but then sees another “fuck you” written on the wall. Disgusted, he speculates that when he dies, somebody will probably write the words “fuck you” on his tombstone. He leaves the exhibit to wait for Phoebe. On the way to the bathroom, he passes out, but he downplays the incident.
Bronze Bow Summary Chapters 4-7 Daniel has come back to the house for a day or two to see how his family was doing. They gave him what food they had but he was still very hungry, he did not want to ask for more because he knew the response would be there is no more. He went to bed wishing he was with his friends in the cave and that he had a full meal. The next day was the Sabbath and a man named Jesus was going to speak at their synagogue. Daniel was exited to hear from Simon that he was a zealot like himself, but in the synagogue Daniel thought how could he be a zealot because he is saying let the Romans oppress us.
One of the McCourt twins, Oliver, dies and the family moves to a new house. Frank and Malachy Jr. begin school and are laughed at because they’re both from America and talk funny. Six months after Oliver dies the other twin, Eugene, also dies. The family moves to a new home where there is one bathroom for the entire street and the bottom floor is flooded for part of the year. Their first Christmas in Ireland the family can only afford to eat a pig’s head and the children need to go pick tiny pieces of coal off the road for a fire.
They run by a young boy crying and the boy releases his father's hand and wants to help him but the father picked his boy and ran away. Later that night they are camping away from the road they are following and the boy is upset at his father for not helping the boy but his father explains on how it would end up hurting them in the long run with food and such. They go to sleep. Pg. 90 - 107 They are walking down the road early in the morning
He is a twelve-year-old who wants to spend time with his friends and play baseball. Moose thought his life was going to end after being pulled away from his friends back home and leaving his baseball team; moving to Alcatraz so Natalie can go to a special school. Then Helen, Moose's mother, takes away Moose's baseball days by forcing him to come home from school every day to spend time with Natalie. Moose winds up caring a lot for Natalie and her education and protecting her, even though she was thought to be ruining his life, and was embarrassing to him. Even though Moose could have gotten in a lot of trouble by the Warden he still sent the letter
One day his teacher gives him a letter and tells him not to read it until he got home, John was worried because his teacher never told him to read a letter at home before because he does not like John because most of the fights that John gets in are in school. He went home and went straight up to his room, he opened the letter and it said that John has been expelled from his school and that he gets to finish out the week; he went downstairs to tell his mom but when he was downstairs he saw his father lying on the couch and vomiting profusely, right next to him was his

An example of an anti hero is Holden from The Catcher in the Rye. In the book The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger is about a boy, Holden Caulfield, who is kicked out of his fourth school due to failure of academic skills. Holden, after a few days at Pencey, decides to leave Pencey and go stay at a hotel in New York. After a few days at the hotel Holden decides to leave and go home and visit his little sister Phoebe.
