Outcome 3 Understand how schools uphold their aims and values 3,1 Define the meaning of a)aims Aims are what the school hope to achieve throughout the year. These are set out by the governing body who will use the national curriculum to see if children will achieve a key stage for that year or they are on course to do so at the key stage. At my placement school in assembly each monday they read out all the attendance figures and say whether they have reached the target level set out by the government of 95%. Also part of the assembly is to promote ways of which children should interact with each other which is another key aim of this school. All teachers have a high expectation of the pupil to get the higher standards.
However, nothing is impossible instead it says “I’m Possible”. All sectors of society should work together. Even at our young age, we play a pivotal role in making our dream a reality. Our involvement should be far more than joining discussions, more than words, we need action. And every little action constitute to a bigger and better effect.
I don’t see this as a great disadvantage, why stress out endeavoring to be perfect all the time? I did pretty well and I’m quite proud of that. 3. What did you learn
Life is a beautiful thing and I am more fortunate than most kids. I surround myself with compassionate friends and family. In conclusion, time is a standout amongst the most capable impacts on our thoughts, sentiments, and actions, yet we are generally unaware of the impact of time in our lives. Every particular state of mind toward time or time viewpoint is connected with various advantages, yet in abundance each is connected with even greater costs. In my opinion, the 10,000 rule is the most convincing reason for success. Very successful people, like The Beatles, Bill Gates, and Bill Joy, all worked very hard at what they do to become successful. All of these successful people were born at the right place at the right time and took advantage of that and worked hard to learn more, and practice more to become as successful as they were/are. Gladwell did studies on many people, and found that whoever worked or practiced for 10,000 or more hours were the successful ones, and the people who didn’t weren’t successful. It is said that 10,000 hours is the amount of time your brain needs to assimilate everything it needs to become an expert in your field.
As a student you have to understand how your responsibilities will affect your everyday activities and/or duties. You have to take responsibility of all your actions and know that there are going to be consequences to face if wrong decisions are made. Gandhi (1993) stated, “Manliness consists not in bluff, bravado or loneliness. It consists in daring to do the right thing and facing consequences whether it is in matters social, political or other. It consists in deeds not words”.

Some say “money can not buy happiness.” Well someone with a decent amount of money that they worked for sure is happy. Knowing that what they did made them money and they can now do they things they want and buy the things they want. In conclusion, The American Dream is still available to anyone out there. As long as you have strong work ethic and are willing to work hard at making as much money as you can and doing the best at everything you do they it can be achieved. America still provides access to the american dream to the “tired, poor, and the huddled masses.” Be smart with your money and have some determination and the American Dream will be your American
