Chapter 4 Milton Berle was an American comedian and actor who has contributed excessively to television. Ever since Texaco Star Theatre came to television his career rose to the top. He became known as Mr. Television, and brought a lot of money to NBC, and other companies because this show was so popular. People loved this show so much they would go out and buy a TV just so they could watch it. Milton Berle invented what people call vaudeo, a new trend/vaudeville style.
Will told BANG! magazine about his contribution to UNICEF: “Every time I strip down to my underwear, some money goes to the charity, so it’s kind of my way of helping, making a contribution. Plus, it brings the ladies in. The ladies love it.” (quoted in “Will Ferrell’s Charity Work”) To his many fans, Will Ferrell is an inspiration because he can make them laugh out loud with his SNL skits that are now in reruns and his many hit movies. He is also an inspiration to young comedians who want to make it big.
Flattery 2. Red herring 3. False analogy Super Bowl Exploited: Sexism and Logic Fallacies within Commercials Millions of people sit down every year with friends and family to watch what is possibly the biggest sporting event of the year: the Super Bowl. There are many different reasons why folks watch it year after year; a lot of fans watch the Super Bowl for the football aspects of the entertainment, but many people have other reasons for watching, as well. An enormous factor that plays into the number of viewers for The Super Bowl is the commercials; they are often very entertaining and usually funny.
Randy Pausch “Achieving Childhood Dreams” Randy Pausch was a very captivating man when speaking to an audience. He took life by the horns and wasn’t afraid of “brick walls” that he may have encountered along the way. Although he was dying of pancreatic cancer, he still found the will power to get up in front of hundreds of people and present an amazing seminar as if nothing was wrong. Randy Pausch incoorperated such things as literal humor, visualizations, and improvisation into his lecture. All of these things made for an exciting and attention grabbing presentation.

Pine Ridge Players to perform Tartuffe! By Lizzy Parsons Special to the Beacon Remember being little and having your favorite Dr. Seuss stories read to you at night? There were hypocrites, liars, funny little men, and creatures of all sizes. Well, Tartuffe brings that to life, minus all of the silly creatures. “Tartuffe reminds me of a grown up version of a Dr. Seuss book.” says Casey McCall, who plays Mariane, “It really is a great Show, and I think that people will enjoy it a lot.” The audience is in for quite the surprise when they see this show.
Although our world has TV, most people do not solely rely on TV as much as they do. In 451 you see Montag on the subway creating a scene because he was sick of the constant commercials. This even happens to people in our society well. Mildred is the representation of an everyday citizen in the world of 451, and you see her spend all of her time in front of her three wall TV. It seems to me that throughout the years TV has become more popular, and most people have at least one TV in their house.
The younger generation think that is what they should do since that is what they see on TV and the internet. Divinecaroline.com state “Reality shows have become very popular and teens have begun to realize that you can become famous just by being a bad girl, teen mom, or a crazy party animal who likes to do nothing but drink and “smush,” like the cast members on Jersey Shore.” Shows like this are giving teens the wrong idea. Why should the cast be paid so much for setting a bad example? This country is supposed to be looked up to as a great clean country. With shows like this on air for the world to see it is a disgrace.
The Superbowl is an event that sports enthusiasts look forward to and love to attend at least one time in their lives. The combination of the action on the field, the entertainment at halftime, and the unveiling of the year's new commercials bring sports fans and non-sports fans in front of their televisions to witness the three and a half hour spectacle. There are a few reasons to explain why football is the most popular sport in America today. The entertainment value is unmatched compared to other major sports. There are bone crushing tackles, spectacular catches, precise throws, running backs breaking tackles for long gains, and the strength and athletic ability of all positions (except kickers and punters, of course) to make plays for their team.
We may not had the best of everything, but what we did have we appreciated. Holiday where the best for me growing up I can remember all my Aunts and uncles and cousins coming over to our house and we had a ball the kids ran around and played while the grownups BBQ and drank and played cards I looked forward to holidays because you know it was going to be fun I always hated to see it end and could not Waite until the next big holiday came
