However, text messaging has been a major problem with students texting in class interfering with the disruption of their learning. Most teachers express how they feel about cell phones being a distraction to others, however very few students have complaints about the use of cell phones in class. Text messaging in class should be allowed by choice of the students, it can easily be discreet and the possibility of an emergency. In the argument “Tapping into Text Messaging” by Janet Kornblum, says teens, techies and other early adopters leading the charge to text say it is a great way to communicate when they are too busy to talk or when making a call would be rude or impractical.
I will create this environment through an engaging curriculum, personable interaction, topic orientated discussions, and group work. Since my license will include an endorsement in Special Education my classroom management will include a focus on flexibility defined as the ability to respond to the moods, emotions and the capabilities of my students on any given day. I intend to train and guide my students in every aspect, even in other subjects. I persuade my students to perform excellently in anything they do. When there are upcoming tests or quizzes, I make sure that I tutor them beforehand. I engage them to let me know if there is something that they do not understand, and I also want them to support each other. I hope that my students use the skills that they learn in my classroom so I can help them progress their skills more.

You have a visual/graphic learning style. Recalling pictures, diagrams, or slideshows while taking a test means you visually learned the material. Learning by sight is probably one of the most common learning styles. Educators often use visual aids to teach, because students often understand the material better. Being able to see what has been being talked about in the class all week, makes learning easier for a visual learner.
Using the Internet is also a challenge and I need to be aware continuously of these challenges and implement every possible way to include him in these activities. This student does not regard himself as someone to be treated differently or to be protected or isolated from certain activities. Hands-on activities, working collaboratively with other classmates and verbal observations can benefit all students, not just the students with disabilities. The Internet is a complete different tool used in classrooms. I researched and found many different adaptations for the visually impaired that I could introduce and use in my classroom.
2. The strength of these philosophies lies in the fact they are all student centered approaches to teaching and learning. I most appreciate the prescriptive nature of the philosophies meaning that they all are attempting to increase learning and decrease behavior issues by establishing roles, routines, and norms of a classroom. I think if I can actively utilize the approaches above, I can create the type of environment that is helpful to both students and still be a place I want to work in. I do not expect that I can do it all the first year, but maybe over time I can bring in more research based applications of classroom management.
