They government is emphasizing more on the fully automatic weapons, explosives, armor and other things that only the military should have access to. Some people do not see that the violence taking place in the U.S. has to do with the access to guns and the mental health of the individual. The people who are victims to some of the most recent shootings should speak up and tell others why we need to make obtaining these types of weapons much more difficult. Many individuals choose what they want to see, hear and believe, as in seeing the massacres happen and believing the government is taking their right away and not letting them have what they have the right to have, which is “the right to bear arms.” Most citizens do not see that making further background checks and regulation on the amount of ammunition that is
Levin’s target audience is Americans because his use of American symbolism such as “July 4,” and “unconstitutional.” In addition, the United States is not the only victim of terrorist attacks. Many countries around the world also fall prey to terrorism. According to Levin, begins his essay with a brief description of how he believes that societies view the subject of torture as negative thing. He justifies his reasoning on torture by allowing it in order to save innocent lives. Levin’s second claim is that the judicial system is a slow process when time is a factor and the only way to speed it up is by torture.
In Blade Runner, Scott explores the innovative and exciting ideas associated with being able to create ‘perfect’ life, however, he suggests that cloning technology can be dangerous for humankind when creations are just as intelligent and strong as humans. The Replicants are described as “more human than human” by Tyrell, their creator, when he tells Roy Batty, “You were made as well as we could make you”. However, despite being shown to be perfect, this is shown to be fraught with danger for humankind as they are lethal in their quest to reach Tyrell and compel him to give them more life. Early in the film, Deckard gets given the job “retiring” the NEXUS 6 Replicant’s that “…Slaughtered twenty-three people and jumped a shuttle…”
Gun casualties and incidents throughout the country have woken the public up from its ignorance and shown them the danger guns can pose to society (Martinez, 2013). While some people want a complete blanket ban on the ownership of guns, others wants an easier access to guns so that every person may look after their own security. Part of what makes the term gun control a very controversial topic is that it’s used in a ambiguous way that does not explain the details of the issue and the demands, apart from literally controlling guns. The two prominent sides of the debate are the groups who ask for liberal gun laws that make it easier for a person to procure guns and conversely, there are groups who want to repeal the second amendment. I personally am a strong believer that an “ideal society” should have no guns; nevertheless crime is a big problem to the citizens of our society and guns are necessary.

It is not acceptable to go beyond legal, moral, and/or ethical boundaries when the nation is at a risky time of war, but only on certain conditions. Some issues discussing this are the neutralism of U.S., the Executive Order #9066 declared by FDR, and the decision to drop the bomb. These issues greatly impacted America’s standing in the world and history immensely. It was recorded into history for the mistakes that we did and the damage we caused. The U.S. struggled with each issue and did what they thought was right, even if damage was caused.

From fighting wars that greatly benefitted others, to giving funding, weapons and troops to ensure safety and to teach these countries how to defend themselves. America has demonstrated that the welfare of smaller, lesser armed countries is a major concern. However, that same concern had been used as a “stepping stone” by the US. Taking advantage of the weakened governments, the US has used that country’s location to further the goal of becoming a global superpower. Being described as a global empire, by many analysts, America did its best to live up to that statement.
It was also used as a defence mechanism in case of future attack. The race can also said to have produced numerous treaties between the superpowers, and these factors seem to suggest that the arms race had a stabilising effect and did not threaten world peace. However, it is also argued that it made the world a more dangerous place, and consequently threatened world peace. The word ‘dangerous’ is defined as an unsafe threat to the world and human population. This is demonstrated through the questionable policies such as Brinkmanship, Massive retaliation, and how the culture of paranoia and secrecy caused both sides to constantly create more nuclear weapons to feel protected against the other side.
We can control our own actions whether they are right or wrong and be held accountability for them. We can teach others from right and wrong. We cannot control the actions of others even if they are good, but we can definitely hold them accountability for the wrong actions. Having more information about the timeline and events of 9-11 makes me wonder if the President would have acted on some of the information would so many people have died that day. President George W.
