My favorite season by far is summer. The coming of summer brings countless days at the town swimming pool, end of school, and trips to the beach. Summer time is a time when our family spends a lot of time together. It is the season when we set out to accomplish meeting every cheerleader at the beach. Most important of all this means a time for us to enjoy ourselves. Summer days at the town swimming pool brings back so many things to my mind. It is where I had first learned to swim. My friends and I would sometimes slip away from work at the greenhouses just to relax in the cool flowing stream to escape the heat. Needless to say our boss, Mrs. Garret, wasn’t always very pleased when she found us. We made it our personal get away from everything. I am always so happy when summer finally arrives. It means that boring days in the classrooms were soon to be over. No more listening to teachers trying to pound Darwin’s Theory into our heads or being quizzed over what is the difference between an obtuse and acute triangle. I always count down every last second for the bell to finally ring so we will be free to enjoy what summer has to bring. The ringing of the bell is a sign of late nights spent in town with friends, time to meet new people on vacation, and trips to the beach with plenty of girls, in which I can say I enjoy. Off to the beach we go to spend a week full of girls, parties, and fun. All that stood between me then was a long and exhausting seven hour drive to Panama City Beach, Florida. So I woke up, called Jordan, who was never ready on time, and off we went. When we arrived, we were welcomed by parties, girls in bikinis, and the welcoming sound of waves crashing against the beach.
