MANAGING ONESELF To discover our strength is though feedback analisys. Practiced constantly, this simple method will show you within a fairly short periode of time where your strength lie – and this is the most omportant thing to know. Several implication for action follow from analysis feedback : 1) concentrate on your strength, 2) work on improving your strength, 3) discover where your intellectual arrogance causing disabling ignorance and overcome. A few common personality traits usually determine how a person perform. The first to knnow is whther you are a reader or listener. The second thing is to know how one learns, not only from school way but from different methods such as learn by writing or talking. The third you must ask yourself Do I work well with people or I am a loner? And if you do work well with people, you then ask In what relationship. Fourth, do I produce result as a decision maker or as a adviser?. Fifth, do I perform well under stress or do I need a highly structured and predictable environment, do I work best in big organization or small one. To able to manage yourself, you totally have toask, What are my value? To know about this, you can take a simple test, “mirror test”, ethics requires that you ask yourself ‘what kind of person do I want to see in the mirror every morning’. Organizations like people have value. To be effective in organization a person values must be compatible with the orgnization values. People must know where they are belong or what they didn’t belong. Successful careers are not plane. They develop when people are prepared for opportunities because they know their strength, their method of work, and their values.
