By obtaining a Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree in Supervision and Management I want to enhance the current skills that I have which intern will enhance my career. Although I am intelligent the curriculum for this program of study will help me sharpen my conceptual skills, it will help me mold myself from a talker and conversationalist to a communicator, and it will be the vehicle for me to achieve high level management, which in any organization you must be able to mange effectively and efficiently and understand every aspect of the business. A Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree in Supervision and Management will help me enhance my career, but this degree will also enhance my quality of life, my experience and knowledge as well. In my current position at the company I work for is upwardly mobile. I was promoted fairly quickly and did this on my current abilities.
Still I like to think that my education is improving me. Garrison describes it as “changing.” I use my education to change my actions and opinions to improve myself, and my surroundings. I see it as the more I learn, the better I get. My education will improve my life in two ways. By broadening my knowledge, and through reputation.
Findings identified personal ambition as a more powerful force than both career advancement and personal growth combined (Leonard et al., 2005). I believe that my desire to complete this degree lies somewhere between all of these areas. This is not to say that post-secondary schooling is a waste of time, as I feel that it has many benefits. But this is not the only measurement that a person should be rated against to qualify them as being well educated or not. I believe that I am just as educated about my company and the business than any other individual that has a degree in the company. I will say that having a degree may have sped up my journey in obtaining my goals, but it does not have to be the only path. I have had the support of executives within the company, only to have the dreaded question asked of me; “Do you have a degree?” When I have to answer that I do not have a degree, then the response is always directed that I will need to get a degree before I can move further up in the
A good education by the right institution would open the window of opportunity by guiding me in the right profession to chase the better companies to apply for a job with a focused clear mind. With a good college teaching me it could help me understand diversity and a multitude of cultures, helping me build a better network circle of people which could be important in having a future career. Being more educated with such a larger way of thinking could help me be a more independent person also a self-starter instead of a follower. Another quote that someone told me was by Oscar Wilde (Berdichevsky) “You can never be over dressed or over educated.” You can never be over educated to me means that you can always add to your education. If you have an Associates degree you can always go to Bachelors degree and even higher.
To get a higher education is perhaps crossing the biggest milestone of your life. A college education is a very valuable thing and everyone should get one, so that we can all be enlightened and help make our society a better place. A college is a place where people come together in an environment that helps nurture their educational curiosities. For example, a college student and a high school student have a lot of differences when it comes to doing stuff like work because a student from college can rationalize than a high school student.
I am sure that its experienced teachers and modern material base would help me develop my skills in the mass communications field. Of course, you can't choose University only because it has the necessary material base or good hostel; choosing the best university is connected with hard work and realized efforts. I believe, that the environment created by teachers there will change me considerably in many respects and that I can look at this world with various sights. It would develop serious skills in my life which I require in myself. Each instant of a university life has influence on you, and you should learn from that you do and don’t.
Why I Wish To Pursue Further (or Graduate) Education Graduate Education is a window of opportunity to increase my knowledge and earning power in the information technology. Also, it allows me to gain a broader perspective and learn from new and different people. I wish to pursue my Graduate Education, not just because of my admiration to information technology and computer science for my bachelor’s degree, but also to develop dedication and qualifications towards a successful career in the future. Graduate Education will help advance my career to become a software engineer. Applying for a master degree provides me the necessary tools to enhance my experience in the IT & Computer Systems.
A Better Life After College College is becoming an essential part of life for many reasons. It used to be that you could get a decent entry level job with a high school diploma or GED. However, as time has passed it is becoming more common for even entry level jobs to require some type of college certificate or diploma. Once I finish my college venture it will change my life in many ways. A few of these include the ability to get a better paying job, the flexibility for more job opportunities that I will be qualified for, and a more stable life for me.
College should be seen as a valuable investment that will pay off In the long run. For example, if in the future, you want to get a good job, most likely you won’t obtain it—you’ll need a degree. It will help you to make important connections with people, and it will qualify you for more jobs than if you don't attend. College is not just a financial choice, it’s the beginning of a lifelong journey, one that will shape and determine your future. It means more options, more money, and more benefits.
