Wal-Mart like to portray itself as a seller of American products however the main problem is that it outsources all of its work and is full of shelves with items mad in foreign countries, mainly China. As a result many American manufactures are going out of business. I believe that Wal-Mart has many negatives such as not treating it employees fairly and should be required to sell a certain amount of American products. The first criticism of Wal-Mart is the way it treats it employees. Yes, Wal-Mart provides many uneducated Americans with job however it isn’t a job from which can make livable wage.
I mean “who really cares if you dad is worth £1.5 billion or you live in downtown London?” Unfortunately there are people who will judge you based just on your money which saddens me as many of the happiest and nicest people I know are not vastly rich but balanced all rounded individuals. Most Brits feel uncomfortable or afraid when not in situations with people like themselves. We are not good as a society at understanding and informing ourselves about people of different social, ethnic and religious backgrounds. In our efforts to be politically correct we find ourselves in a situation where minorities walk over people by loudly vocalizing their opinions opposed to the passive majority of the population, who just want to get on with life! On the point of not understanding, the word “gypsies” springs to mind.
Those employers work overtime but did not get the pay that they deserve. Instead, employers who came late to work will not be tolerated. This has caused many employers to get stressed out, leading to suicide attempts. The reason may be because the labor costs in foreign countries are cheap compared to United States. However, I think it is wrong to take advantage of those employers’ lives by not providing those employers fairly.
Most people who are against illegal immigration in the United States begin the base of their argument that they do not pay taxes. Citizens do not think its fair that everybody works and that people who enter the country illegally are paid but do not pay any taxes. On the other hand, each year,
The welfare system in America is broken. It was originally designed to help people that cannot find jobs or cannot work but that is not exactly what it is doing. Not all people who are on welfare really need it and it is causing some people to be denied. Many families do not want to rely on the federal government because they do not want to be looked at as poor or that they cannot provide for their own family without extra help from others. A lot of people lie about what they do and do not do and conservatives and liberals ignore it when they know what is happening.
The influence of the minority proves to in turn promote the government unresponsive to the needs of the vast majority of the population, prompting middle and lower class Americans to believe that their vote does not matter and cannot make a difference. Becoming politically active takes resources and skills, which is disproportionately bestowed on the economically well-off by higher education and occupational advancement. Americans with lower wages and education vote less due to their lack of these
Immigration, damaging or helpful? Immigration has been a problem in the United States since before the country was established. Many citizens and politicians claim that illegal immigration is a hindrance to the country’s economy because immigrants take American jobs and that they don’t pay taxes. They also agree that our government spends too much money in keeping them out. People on the other side of this argument claim that immigrants help by taking unwanted jobs with very little pay, and in doing that they are helping keep the prices of domestic goods down across the country.
2. Because of the government’s lack of knowledge or lack of care to what happened with the money, the bailouts of 2008 weren’t used how they were originally planned for. The money was used to pay top executives instead of actually bailing the company out. 3. Labor unions have really diminished over the years.
Furthermore I also find it hard to believe the fact that a lot of the professional athletes complain to the world that they can’t support their families. How is that even possible when everyone else in the world finds a way to make it with just a portion of the money that the athletes make. The athletes just start out greedy and continue to get even greedier. But really they have nothing to get mad about they can buy a house that cost less than 10 million dollars just like anyone else can. Maybe they need a good slap to the face and we should not pay them what they want, so what if they said they won’t play because I guarantee there are people out there that will play for way less money.
Socially, without proper resources, people become distant and some reluctant to seek proper help and it becomes a burden to some, if not most and then most is unable to care for them, then in my opinion there’s a presence of breakdown. In most cases, people see the poor or low income individuals in disgust, but unknowingly realizing how the person ended up in this predicament. Most people don’t ask or tell themselves their going to be comfortable with a system that allows them limited resources. Even though the government takes the blame for allowing low income people the choice of taking the assistance, the government still has a breakdown of maximizing a limited time frame of bettering individuals. In my opinion, we have so many low income older individuals and the help should really be focus on them, why?
